Industrialization sucks. It’s nothing but low wage, low-skill nothing jobs with high casualty levels. It’s a good thing to move on from it.

Its not all low wage because it takes a lot of engineers and technology professionals to run and support manufacturing operations.

And tell that to China and other countries that have taken our industrial capacity and pharma production.

American unions typically push back against automation in factories. The Longshoremen are notorious for this.

The engineers and technology professionals are meaningless when the unions fight automation.

Must have bought the dip.

People still believe the markets are driven by the economy. But they're not. They're driven by speculation over the direction and timing of Fed monetary policy actions. Today, the conclusion after Powell's statement and press conference was monetary policy would be very accomodating and likely 2 rate cuts in 2025. So buy, buy, buy along with a short squeeze makes for  nice up day.

Oh yeah?

Fed's growth estimate for 2025 adjusted down; inflation estimate adjusted up.

And the word "transitory" made a most welcome return...
