At least Hamlin can tackle. And yet I bet Hamlin doesn’t sniff that salary. You probably do too Edited Sunday at 04:18 AM by FireChans Quote

Kirby Jackson Posted Sunday at 05:49 PM Posted Sunday at 05:49 PM Dane makes a lot of sense if they dump Elam as expected. I wouldn’t count on Dane as the 2nd corner on the outside but would be more than comfortable with him as the 3rd. 2 1 Quote

If they think they've got 2022 Dane might be worth it but 2023 and 2024 Dane has been picked on a lot. I could be wrong but I'd guess that a younger Hyde and Poyer covered up a lot of the warts and he'd be pretty exposed in our current secondary. 1 Quote

I thought that he was pretty decent here and would be good depth. If they could get him back at $2M or whatever, that’s one less need. If Ingram & Dane are the depth corners I’d feel fine. You can grab the starter opposite Benford in FA or the first couple of rounds. 1 Quote

We're trying to play more man these days and our safeties don't have the range or instincts to help. By the end of the season I was convinced our pass rush might only be mediocre but our coverage was garbage and the bigger problem. Add Dane to a good secondary as depth you are probably all right. Add him to Hamlin, Rapp, Elam, and Lewis and I'm worried. I'm hoping they do a decent amount of reworking the secondary. Quote

With Tre, Po, Micah and Taron you could be limited but fundamentally sound and be a serviceable 5th wheel. With no safeties to help.... it is definitely harder. Quote

Yeah, this regime hasn’t done great with it. I suspect if they have a starting spot open though, they aren’t going to wait until the middle of the draft to fill it. Maybe Barron at 30? 1 Quote

transplantbillsfan Posted Monday at 04:31 AM Posted Monday at 04:31 AM I'd rather have him than Elam right now 1 Quote
BuffaloRebound Posted Monday at 04:31 AM Posted Monday at 04:31 AM If he replaces Elam’s roster spot, I like it. And he wouldn’t cost much more than the vet minimum. Could see McBeane making safety a priority in free agency and then drafting a CB in the 1st or 2nd round. Quote
