Virgil Posted Friday at 05:46 PM Posted Friday at 05:46 PM (edited) If he's healthy now, I'd bring him back. He was solid depth. Edited Friday at 06:16 PM by Virgil 10 5 Quote

You could squint your eyes, pay Benford, sign DJ and let the board come to you at CB in April. I’m all for it. Clearly a guy who benefitted from McD and his scheme but that’s okay. 7 2 1 Quote
gonzo1105 Posted Friday at 05:54 PM Posted Friday at 05:54 PM I think they’re going more to man so I don’t think it’s going to happen 1 2 Quote

Jackson is a bit undersized but he's a legit gamer who's shown some ability to play physical, aggressive man in short areas. He'd certainly be a liability against faster receivers, but knowing McDermott, just because they want to play more man doesn't mean they're going to scheme it where chunk players are more available to offenses. He's risk-averse enough in that regard that Jackson might still be a good fit here at the right price. 2 Quote
Magox Posted Friday at 06:01 PM Posted Friday at 06:01 PM He is a decent man corner and played solid football with the Bills. Personally, I'd hope for someone better in FA but you could make it work as long as their is decent money spent for other positions. Quote
Mr. WEO Posted Friday at 06:17 PM Posted Friday at 06:17 PM Is it possible to only have backup CBs on a roster? 5 1 Quote

Knowing how this staff values system familiarity, Jackson may have the best value-price point. He may not be the best CB on the market, but he’s probably the best CB we can get in our system for a super modest deal. 1 2 Quote

First Round Bust Posted Friday at 06:32 PM Posted Friday at 06:32 PM scenario - trade Elam to a man intensive D like the Browns for a 6th next year or 7th this year just to dump the salary and then consider a vet min offer to D Jackson as backup with incentives for the amount of playing time in the event of injury to a starter..perhaps... 2 Quote
Sweats Posted Friday at 06:36 PM Posted Friday at 06:36 PM If we brought him in, i can't say i'd be against it. 1 Quote

Elam is getting a 7th round pick swap at this point at best. He is approaching negative value now. If you wanted anything substantial for him, he needed to be traded 2 years ago. 1 1 2 Quote
