It's hard for me to argue that Josh has been let down by the defense in key games, especially the playoffs. You could also say that the Bills were outcoached in most of their playoff losses. Add in being in the same conference as the Ravens, Bengals, Chiefs, and other improving AFC teams, it's not going to get any easier soon. With being from the west coast and being engaged to a movie star, is it crazy to think it might make more sense for him to want to play out his contract and join a team like the Rams? He would immediately become the NFL king of LA, have an offensive minded coach, and be closer to home. I think his chances to get a ring would greatly improve, and he'd get to play in a dome where he excels. To be clear, I don't want any of this to happen. But if it did, I don't think I could really blame him. Yes, the Bills took a chance on him, but he was still a top 10 pick and has paid the team and city back well beyond that. I would hate it, but I would still support him. I think it's realistic to think that someday we will see Josh in a different uniform. Very rare for players to spend their career with one team. Even some of the greats. Peyton Manning, Favre, Rodgers, heck even Tom Freaking Brady, Montana....all had to move on eventually to continue their career. At some point the price won't be equal to the production and the Bills will turn the page. I don't think it will come from Josh wanting to "go Hollywood" or anything like that. I think he would gladly stay in Buffalo his whole career. But I will say this. If Allen leaves the Bills without winning a Super Bowl...then I hope he retires without one. Would really suck to see him hoist a Lombardi for like... Seattle or the Rams. 2 Quote

We all wish Keon contributed a bit more but he didn't have a bad rookie year at all, in fact he had a pretty good rookie year. His numbers would have been a lot better (and they are already pretty good for a rookie) had he not missed 4 games. As a rookie he had 550+ yards and 4 TD's on a modest 57 targets (while missing 4 games due to that Poyer hit) and he's only going to be 22 years old next season. Seems like Josh might know what he's doing? Hopefully he does. This is his guy. 24 minutes ago, Negan said: Would Bills fans rather keep McDermott or Allen? The answer should be obvious, but I'm not sure it would be 100%. As soon as it’s even a rumor that Allen is unhappy with McDermott then I’m team fire McDermott. 8 minutes ago, todd said: God I hate the offseason. This is just another attempt at a fire McDermott thread. This is a drastic approach. Quote
JakeFrommStateFarm Posted Thursday at 08:33 PM Posted Thursday at 08:33 PM At some point around 2028, he'll want to be closer to his wife in LA. As her career takes off, Josh will want to be with her year round and not be away from her for months during the football season. She will be working in LA making movies, songs, etc. Josh will want to live in the same house like a normal married couple. Never underestimate the power of young love. Josh could then become QB for the Rams or Chargers to continue his football career. So it is not that Josh is quitting on the Bills, he put his time in and just wants to move on. Sometimes when you love something, you have to be ready to let it go. I would wish Josh the best of luck if he decided to go. In no way would he be a quitter. 1 1 Quote

It's amazing how the Bills went after the guy Josh supposedly wanted, but could still get him by trading down twice. Bills PR team really amazing setting narratives the fans will believe at all costs. Quote

It depends, is this hypothetically before or after the supposed 5 good seasons that he has left? ~~checks calendar, sees it's still February... ~~ Thank you for acknowledging this is a hypothetical. Too many people don’t read the actual post and assume I think this will, or that I want it to happen. Quote

Mr. WEO Posted Thursday at 08:51 PM Posted Thursday at 08:51 PM There is no king of LA NFL football---hasn't been for generations. No one cares out there. Why would he want to play for the Rams? He can live out there the off season all he wants. Bills are a better team. 1 Quote

It really is embarrassing for the Rams and Chargers as fans of the visiting team make up a large portion of the crowd especially when the 49ers and Raiders play there. "RAMS HOUSE" I don't think so. It's sounds like the visiting teams house most games. 1 Quote
eball Posted Thursday at 09:10 PM Posted Thursday at 09:10 PM Sorry @Virgil -- you seem like a good dude but I couldn't disagree more. I guess we won't know until it all plays out, but I believe it's very important to Josh that he play his entire career in Buffalo as long as they are clearly trying to win. I mean, we just watched a guy who won the MVP finish his speech with "Go Bills." Josh and Hailee appear to be making it work just fine, and she has said she enjoys spending time on both the east and west coast. We're talking about another 10-12 years at most. I don't think we're going to need to worry about Josh wanting to leave. Quote
