Milano was I think for a period pre-injuries and I think Benford and Brown are trending that way, but right now the only elite player on the Bills is Josh Allen. I am not sure that is quite the same as "just Josh and a bunch of guys" though which was your original statement. 1 Quote

Calling them “just guys” may have been a bit harsh, but none of those players would significantly impact another team's chances of becoming a Super Bowl contender if they acquired anyone from the Bills, except for Josh Allen. Currently, Cook, Dawkins, and Brown are the only Bills players considered to be in the Top 15 at their respective positions. Quote

Taron Johnson, Ed Oliver, Christian Benford and Conor McGovern are all top 15 at their positions. Shakir is top 15 if you simply deliniate slot receivers and Bernard would be there are thereabout at MLB. The Bills problem isn't lack of guys top 15 at their positions. It is lack of top 5 guys at their positions. 1 Quote

That is your interpretation of fans being proud of the team we have today vs the one during the drought, no one is satisfied with the overall results. To the underlined, I don't agree it goes to just negativity, people think the best move is continue with McDermott and the fact they have not won the SB is not proof McDermott is not capable of it. We don't all have to agree on the path, as fans we all can have our own opinions. Some think McDermott will never get it done and some don't subscribe to that. You really think people think Buffalo is not a good landing spot for a good coach today? I dont think you will find many fans who think that. The reality is if you really evaluate what McDermott has done I think it is reasonable to argue he should continue. He is currently 17 among all time coaches n win %. Above Reid, Tomlin, Harbaugh, Payton, McCarthy and McVay who all have one SB's and were coaching last year. Above him are Sirianni, Harbaugh, Lafleur, and O'Connell. He is also above Seifert, Belichick, Martz, Cowher, Gibbs and Walsh. He has not done the one thing that will make him considered great.....yet. You want to replace him, great, is it not reasonable to ask with who? Overall the chances things get worse are greater than things getting better. McDermott does not have the record he has solely because of JA, he brings a lot to the table that many fans ignore. The Bengals have a franchise QB, they cannot even make the playoffs. If you compare him to Harbaugh.....why don't people want Harbaugh fired....just comparing the last 7 years, Harbaugh has a 2 time MVP, franchise QB and has way less playoff success than McDermott, McDermott is 2-0 vs him in playoff games....yet he gets a pass because he has a SB. Its great you compared him to a lot of guys who have won a superbowl, but that is the difference. Its great he's ahead of Lafluer and O'Connell, but at the end of the day it doesn't mean much. Its like people bragging about our point differential championships, dont mean a thing. Ive seen our former DC head coach's defenses consistently crap the bed against the chiefs. What is the playoff avg points given up vs the Chiefs, like 34 a game against him. I dont see things getting worse if McD is replaced. I don't see Josh Morphing into Trent Edwards the following season. I see the risk aversion, as an acceptance of playoffs and exits, lets keep the status quo. My question to the let's keep doing what we're doing, is how long? Are we going to let him past Shottenheimer or go for Marvin Lewis for most season with the same team and no superbowls? Guys like Chuck Knox and Shottenheimer weren't bad coaches, they just weren't great ones who could get you to the goal. 1 Quote

I think the point is where are the All Pro level players/blue chip players. The BIll's have high end players, the list above is that. But where is the Chris Jones or Travis Kelce to go with the QB. Where are the other potential future HOFers..... Both things are true, the Bills have some really good players and they lack numbers of elite level players. 1 Quote

Another elite level guy or two would be great. Having a rusher at that level would make the Bills better for sure. But winning football teams are built with solid players as a base and we have a lot of them. So they are not “just another guy”. Guys like Dawkins, Brown, Cook are impact players on any team. Quote

McDermott has accomplished more than both Shottenheimer and Lewis already....not in terms of Super Bowls which is your one and only measure but in terms of playoff wins and playoff win %. I understand you can make them equal because they never won a SB but you can separate them if you want to. You don't see things getting worse if they change but the point is what is the plan, change for changes sake? Who do you want? I acknowledged in my post he has not wont he SB and that is the one thing he needs to do, it is not "acceptance" because one believes the best plan is to continue with McDermott. Quote

Dawkins and brown are literally top five tackles lol There's not 6 left tackles with Dion Dawkins resume over the last 7 years And Spencer Brown is absolutely one of the best five great tackles in the world and only getting better 28 out of 32 teams would take our pair of tackles Quote
