If Josh did not want to extend his contract and potentially leave, would you blame him?

I think McD and Beane have run their course, and I can admit if you told me I could get Josh with the ball in his hands down 3 with 3 minutes left, I would take it every time, regardless of coach or even talent around him.

Thats not being unfair

It's cynical to think this but can you imagine if the Bengals got in and Allen still helped put up 30 points but burrow cooked our defense and we lost in the wildcard.

This place would be way louder in their criticism for this front office and coach

What other All pro MVP left in their prime? Peyton Manning had neck surgery and they had the first pick so Andrew luck pushed him out... Tom Brady stayed with the Patriots till he was 39... Brees in New Orleans till 41... Roethlisberger in Pittsburgh till 39.... Rivers was in San Diego or Los Angeles till 38... Favre was in Green Bay till 38... Rogers was in Green Bay till 39... Marino was in Miami till 38.. Matt Ryan stayed in Atlanta till 36

Josh has hundreds of millions of reasons to stay.. including the millions of people who love him in Western New York

He can get that elsewhere.

I mean no you can't lol there's a reason why Thurman and Jim never left

Being the king of Buffalo is a million percent different than being the king of Los Angeles where nobody cares about sports

Buffalo revolves around the bills.. Josh Allen knows he is beloved and he gets letters sent to his house everyday from children letting him know

Los Angeles and San Francisco doesn't give two iotas.. you can't even compare being the king of Buffalo to the king of any other NFL City

Even Patrick mahomes doesn't have it as good as Josh does in Buffalo... That's why the NFL focuses on Taylor Swift

Eh I actually slightly agree that this thread doesn't need to exist Virgil

There's a segment of Bills fans who are self-loathing and masochists and don't think we should have good things.. that's why they call in to wgr and say things like this

And they do believe it.. they believe that we don't deserve anything good and anything good we have is bound to leave us

But it's all bull.. there is zero basis for this thread it's not rooted in any truth or factual statement... It's pulling at the heart strings of Bills fans who already are emotionally damaged

@Coach Tuesday

What do you disagree with?

That you think this thread has merit? Josh has said nothing but he plans on retiring a bill since day one

Finishes every single sentence with go bills .. are you calling Josh a liar?

Yeah, let me know where you think this thread has merit.. it's complete BS

Josh went back to Wyoming because he thought he owed Craig bohl lol you think he's leaving the millions of people that have had his back watching him fulfill his dream of being an NFL star?

I have a bridge to sell

Forgive the offseason post, but this thought crossed my mind last night, so flame appropriately.

It's hard for me to argue that Josh has been let down by the defense in key games, especially the playoffs.  You could also say that the Bills were outcoached in most of their playoff losses.  Add in being in the same conference as the Ravens, Bengals, Chiefs, and other improving AFC teams, it's not going to get any easier soon.

With being from the west coast and being engaged to a movie star, is it crazy to think it might make more sense for him to want to play out his contract and join a team like the Rams?  He would immediately become the NFL king of LA, have an offensive minded coach, and be closer to home.  I think his chances to get a ring would greatly improve, and he'd get to play in a dome where he excels.

To be clear, I don't want any of this to happen.  But if it did, I don't think I could really blame him.  Yes, the Bills took a chance on him, but he was still a top 10 pick and has paid the team and city back well beyond that.  I would hate it, but I would still support him.

As has been pointed out about a million times, and correctly, isn't that the D has been bad in the postseason.

It is basically that the D has not been able to stop the Kansas City Chiefs in the postseason.

Very few teams have, and the ones that managed it generally Mahomes having a bad day. Right from play one against the Eagles, Mahomes was missing even when not pressured.

And Josh is not unaware that the first two drives or so in our game against KC this year he was awful, and that that cost us deeply. I just don't see that kind of attitude surfacing in Josh.

Some of those decisions and play calls were appalling.  It is unfair when at the most critical moments, the coaches don't just expect Josh to just come through, they put him in a position to fail.  Then when he does some of us want Josh to take the responsibility? Oh heck no.

I an NOT a blame Josh guy. That is total and utter horse crap.

It is just that label gets attached to anyone trying to have a reasonable conversation based on reality.

I was PLENTY critical of the coaching in the Kansas City game and particularly the defensive gameplan. But if every post isn't "fire the coach" people accuse you of giving them a pass. Again... horse crap.

You've done this in the past and it still doesn't work. You deny things you actively do. You can horse crap all you want.

There is a reverse issue of if we win one before he’s extended, then it’s mission accomplished and he walks in to the west coast sunset with his Hollywood wife and his $400m contract from the Rams or 49ers…

Maybe JUST maybe his huge contracts actually HURT the TEAM.

Gee.  Novel thought there.

He should take $1.  Back load it like Ohtani.  Is that within the rules?

Josh wouldn’t hurt the team. Can’t backload/defer more than 50% of a contract in the NFL.

No I don't. You consistently accuse me of doing things I don't do.

I am not a fire McDermott guy. That bit is true. It does not equal giving him a pass. There is a lot of difference between those two positions.

Yes, I think I would and it would be fair for all of us to blame him because it would be the complete opposite action of every word and action we've seen publicly and semi-privately.

I understand your thought process behind starting this thread.

If Josh were a Robot with no feelings or emotions, I wouldn't blame him.

If real world Josh left, I'd rightfully blame him.

Thanks for making me feel like crap about something that's not happening though...

Everyone that thinks Josh has it so bad here have seen Sam Darnold and Baker Mayfield right?

People who don’t give any credit at all to the Bills organization for assisting in the development of Josh Allen are delusional.

If Sam Darnold were drafted to Buffalo his career would’ve been much different. Same as Baker Mayfield. I don’t think they would’ve been better than Allen but we know the team you’re drafted to matters.

Allen is just as lucky to be in Buffalo as Buffalo is to have Allen.

If that honestly happened I really think a small % of bills fans would just leave. It's too depressing to even contemplate honestly.

They gotta find a way to find the lofton, Bruce and Bennett types that were around Kelly.

I used to get mad at McDermott but a lot of this really is on beane.

Look at the players around hurts, mahomes ( especially earlier in mahomes career), burrow has two absolute studs at wr ... Kelly was surrounded by hof players.

It's extremely disheartening having this QB , the QB we were all waiting for after Kelly retired but he doesn't have anything close to those super bowl teams with Kelly.

I tried to be the glass half full guy but the AFC championship and super bowl really was a wake up call.

This is the biggest off season I can remember in a long time.
