That would add on 1-2 year for both marriages combined. It adds 4 years to our marriage. We are at 46 now. 1 Quote

Draconator Posted February 26 Posted February 26 11 years this June. We actually knew of each other in high school, but she was all into a guy from Orchard Park back then. When all our mutual friends from high school found out we started dating in our 40s, they were like, "wha???" 1 Quote

Shamrock Posted March 3 Posted March 3 Longest… err… suffering? Or longest before divorce/ separation and liberation? 14 years married, 11 years of hell, but 2 1/2 years now liberated. 1 year with partner, bliss! Quote

Mrs. Lew and I co-habituated for two whole months before marriage. I kid, I kid. I think I did that officially for 6 or 7 months after we graduated but before we got married. She basically lived in my room for a year before that but technically had her own place so idk if the Lord cares about those months. I'd like to believe that he's got better stuff to worry about. The BLUES Brothers Posted March 5 Posted March 5 They say the "50 year anniversary' will be a rare thing soon between unfortunate breakups and the new trend where kids are getting married later in life. For us 36 years this September. We met in college and dated long distance for 7 years until our wedding in her beautiful hometown of Saratoga NY. Then she moved to my less beautiful but active suburb here in Rochester, NY. I really lucked out. Quote
EasternOHBillsFan Posted Sunday at 01:44 AM Posted Sunday at 01:44 AM I have three brothers. Two who married were married twice, and I have been married twice. My father was married twice. I am definitely not in this contest even if I am a pentagenarian Quote

The only one in the family that was married only once was my sister. It makes a big difference if you find the right one though... I've been with this one for 48 years now and we've been married for 43 of them. I swore I'd never get married again after the first one but after dating my present wife for a couple of months I found out that some of them aren't moronic lunatics! 1 Quote

My parents were friends with two different couples who were on their second marriage….with each other again. Married, divorced, remarried. One of those marriages ended for the final time when he told her to be out of the house when he got back from his business trip. There were two guns in the house, and she emptied both of them into him. Dateline or something did a piece on our pal Donna. Yes, apparently marriage CAN make some people CRAZY! Congrats on finding the right one. We just hit 40 years, and it goes by so fast….. Quote
