43 years married plus we "lived in sin" for 5 years before getting married so we've been together for 48 years total. It's kinda funny... my wife's mother wasn't real happy about the living together thing for quite a while and then at the dinner table on Thanksgiving day a few years after we were married she said looking back at all of their friend's kids that had gotten divorced after a short marriage that maybe that living together first thing might not be such a bad idea after all.

I guess I should add that I was married for 7 torturous years to my high school sweetheart starting not long after graduating high school before stumbling across the real woman I'm happily married to now!

As I’ve mentioned, we had our 40th anniversary last Sunday. It’s just so hard to believe it’s been that many years.

My wife and I have been together for 10.5 years, married for 7.5 of those.  We have mentioned it doesn't seem like it's been that long. My longest relationship before her was about 5 years.

I had 4 really great friends married over 25 years and they are all dead.

Coincidence? I think not

How many convictions did that lead to?

The older you get, the shorter the life sentence becomes. Life in prison has a whole new ring to it when you only have so many left anyways!

We will have 43 years in November, Conviction for a double homicide would have been out in 20 or so years with good behavior, but, decisions were made and here we are.....
