My mom still has like a very disturbing hatred for her mother in law whose been dead 5 years already.  
 

Bottom line I don’t think she did much research into what my dad’s family was before.  Some of her feelings are legit but it’s like very unhealthy and disturbing at this point.

Interesting.  When you get married you don’t just gain a wife/husband, you gain a whole family.  My mother in law drives my wife crazy.  They fight like cats and dogs, and can only be around each other for a few hours before they start going after each other.

 

My MIL is kid of a pain in the rear end, and can be really negative sometimes, but she loves me.  Perhaps because she raised 3 girls.  😂

We are also married 40 years as of last Sunday, and I’ve never been happier. It’s not always bliss, but I learned to be better about shutting up. It turns out she’s right about a lot of stuff. Who knew?  🤷‍♂️
