I would be one of them.

Be curious to hear others reasoning.  Mine manly is not having to answer to someone else in my spare time.  Have enough bosses at work.  That and just liking time alone more often than not.

Been married for 40 years........sometimes it's a blessing and sometimes a curse, but how anyone could ever manage to deal with me more than 40 minutes let alone 40 years, makes my wife a saint.

I was 38 or 39 or so when I got married. I don't remember the year and honestly have to think too hard to figure out how old I am...

So, if you're still youngerish there's time.

My son who is now 30 years old, couldn't even get a date, let alone find anyone who would ever marry him. My wife would always try to set him up on dates, but he was never interested.

This past year, he found himself a woman and they are planning on moving in together eventually.

Trust me, if my son can find a significant "other", anyone can.........he's kind of like me and you all know how much you all love me, so........

What kind of condition is his mattress in? That might affect the degree of difficulty. 😊

We are also married 40 years as of last Sunday, and I’ve never been happier. It’s not always bliss, but I learned to be better about shutting up. It turns out she’s right about a lot of stuff. Who knew?  🤷‍♂️

My wife is perfect and can do no wrong.........just ask her.

And for my son's mattress, we don't go in his room.......it scares the **** out of us and i honestly don't want to know what's going on in there.

She must have a pretty high threshold. Sounds like a keeper…….for him.

We're hoping for the best cause if anyone can deal with his antics, nonsense and suspect mattress for more than ten minutes, then he should hold onto her for dear life.

I have a close friend from college who never got married. He is now in his late 40s. He’s very content with it.

i think he just wanted to have the freedom that came with doing his own thing. And now he wouldn’t really even think of getting married and having to compromise on how he is living his life.

The only thing I feel sad about for Him is that he would have made a great dad.

Yep. Bachelor here coming up on 45.

My two brothers’ marriages & their ends ain’t been the best example for me to want to do that to myself. I’m also on the autism spectrum and tried dating a few times but never really had a relationship. I don’t think I’m entirely Aro in the feels, but functionally I am.

In this day and age, marriage is just a piece of paper that allows someone to take 50-75% of your stuff when the odds are quite high that they’ll divorce you.

As Dave Chappelle says, “Marriage is a horrible contract that nobody should sign.”

I’ve been married for going on 15 years this June.  Not all sunshine and rainbows, but I’m very glad I have my wife.  So many of my friends have gone through horrible divorces though.  Yuck.

I think we need the two Bills drive opposite of this question as well

Any of our brothers Go full Mormon and embrace polygamy? And now you have seven wives, one for each day of the week?

Please tell us how miserable you are

Ditto.  Lifelong battles with anxiety (a lot of it social) and found out that “condition” as well a few years back was my underlying issue if you will.

Work is bad enough as is for me to get through.  A good amounts of times I need a drink at the bar after work just to deal with my pops after work.  A woman? Forget it.

I know I am sounding very bleak right now but this trend is more and more common with younger guys

FWIW, my view is whether married or single, I think it’s just important to be content in one’s status, and kind of own it!
