We don’t know what happened with Amari Cooper after the trade but he had a career year in receiving yardage in 2023, playing with mediocre QBs.   I don’t think he faded that much in one season.

Sometimes coaches make things too complicated, increasing the difficulty for a player to pick things up when joining a team in mid season.  It can also be that players are just slow to pick things up.

The main thing I like about Cooper is that he’s not a bigmouthed diva.  He’s quiet and nothing was heard about him not getting playing time and targets.

I think, with Brady staying and a full offseason adapting to the system, Cooper could be a good weapon for this team.

From what i can tell, he was playing hurt.

We need a separator and IMO any receiver approaching or past the age of 30 cannot be that.

Lets just trade for Garret Wilson and call it a day.

I don't mind a veteran around the age of 28-31 coming in on a "stop gap" basis if the team also drafts a WR in round 2 for depth/development. Wilson would be fantastic but I don't see the Jets trading him to a division rival. If it wasn't for the significant concussion issues I would love to see Chris Olave come in if the Saints desperate for cheap players while they possibly dig out of a cap hole would consider putting Olave on the market. But his injury issues are far too risky.

The correct answer is Courtland Sutton. Boundary, not too costly, and he is productive.

I love Sutton but I think Denver who is no longer in a cap crunch after eating Wilson's dead money last season and having a QB on a rookie deal is going to want to trade a good WR whose going to be 30. Sutton was Bo Nix's most productive player at WR and Denver needs help there. Not sure they would want to open up a hole on their roster where they are already lacking talent. Basically I think Denver is adding to their WR core while having Sutton still being there. If he were somehow available I wouldn't hate the Bills targeting him.

Kirk would be interesting, the positives with Kirk as you mentioned is that if he's cut he's not gonna come super expensive (most likely) and won't count against the comp pick formula. He also will be 29 next season so there's a positive. I also think there is a positive aspect in that he's got some speed and has been fairly productive.

The negatives with Kirk are that he's been banged up the last two seasons. After a really solid opening year with Jacksonville where he got his first 1k yard season he's missed 14 games. He also was never a consistently dynamic WR either although he's been very good at times. Certainly a name to keep an eye on.

He's also had Trevor Lawrence and Kyler Murray throwing home the ball. Bet he could break out even more with Allen as his QB.

Speaking of, Kirk and Allen were spotted vacationing together a couple of seasons ago when Kirk was a FA the first time. So we can rationalize there is a built in friendship there.

We can have Keon take out to buy a big yellow puffy coat this summer when they are on sale. Problem solved!

I’ll give him credit, he knows what he likes, and it’s NOT cold weather.

Very possible Kirk could have a fantastic breakout with Josh, but he's had two major injuries the past two seasons. 2024 was a broken collar bone that shouldn't impact his ability to play in my amateur opinion. 2023 was described as a "core muscle" and calf injury. So I think the major concern with Kirk should he be cut is are those injuries significant enough that it may impact his ability to play?

Cooper: I have no idea

Higgins: He'll be tagged and will cost picks. He's going to NE for a third.

Godwin: He'll go back to Tampa. Nobody leaves there

Adams: He'll end up where Rodgers goes

Metcalf: Won't be traded

The rest: Who cares? All bad moves.

Yoga Retreat??

We could use a speed boundary guy that can separate and catch the ball, who that is I don’t know,

what we do need is a revamped defensive scheme, an azs kicking D line and an above average CB,

if by some miracle this happens we will be back in the battle…, jmo.

There is that college kid who was out last season ? with an acl injury.

Sal thinks he's a good fit and might be available to Bills.

We agree quite nearly . The trick is how to reach that , and does McBabich agree with Us as well

They should.

I could bold all the above. Nail the player starting opposite Benford would go a long way to tightening up the Defense for few years

Darius Slayton or Dyami Brown could fill this roll, I prefer the first as a bit more proven and possibly more reliable.

I'm sure most of us weren't wowed by Mack Hollins name last offseason either.

nor is Mack hollins the answer even if he’s fun

The problem with Christian Kirk now is he is another guy that replicates what we have. When he was a FA the first time we had Diggs and Davis wide and were missing a slot weapon post Beas. Now we have an established slot in Shakir and we have a slot/move receiver in Curtis Samuel who we paid last spring who given he came on a bit down the stretch and had injuries it looks like they will stick with for 2025. Kirk isn't a strict slot but he is a move receiver a bit like Samuel who really you want in the slot and then you can flex out wide in certain looks / packages.

If the Bills are investing at receiver this spring in FA or the draft it simply has to be a guy who can win outside. If it isn't I'm honestly not sure I see the point throwing more money at the position.

Bring back Diggs because I want to see the world burn.

Actually, not a bad idea.

3 million base salary, with some modest incentives.

And a clause in his contract that if he complains about anything behind the scenes or in public he can be immediately cut with no compensation.

18. Amari Cooper, WR

2024 team: Buffalo Bills | Age entering 2025 season: 31

Cooper's tape is beginning to show signs of decline, but he is still a detailed route runner who can uncover at multiple levels of the field. In 14 games with both the Browns and Bills this season, Cooper caught 44 passes for 547 yards and four touchdowns. In nine full seasons, Cooper has topped the 1,000-yard receiving mark seven times and has 64 career touchdown catches.

Fowler's latest: The Bills have been happy with Cooper, despite low production compared with past seasons. He has been a good team player in Buffalo, and the Bills are intrigued by getting him into a full offseason program with quarterback Josh Allen. Though his free agency future is uncertain, a return to Buffalo does not appear off the table.

He actually still has the largest cap hit on the team in 2025.  But 32 is a lot different than 70 or whatever.
