#89 Posted June 29, 2005 Posted June 29, 2005 Last year we had about 60 people show up at the bar and it was hard to stay together as a group. It was suggested that we have a room for our TBD partying. I put us down for a more private room instead of the SRO sardine packed bar. They suggested that we choose a limited menu to order from so I wanted your suggestions for the time to reserve the room for and the food that you want to be sure to have on our menu. Beef on wyck and wings for sure What else do you usually order there? I was thinking 7-10:30 for the room we can always stay later. I don't think we need it earlier do we. For those going to the casinos in Niagara Falls or Canada -- there is a gaming place at the race track-fairgrounds a mile from the hotel. I know it has slots but I didn't look to see if it offered cards. I can always find that out if you are interested. Also please let me know if there is anything you would like to have at the tailgate that will be an improvement. All suggestions will be considered. Rockpile's daughter offered to be the ticket girl. Nicki is great for that. (cute, great personality and a Bills fan. OH, intelligent too. I think she will be able to count and make change unlike last years)
udonkey Posted June 29, 2005 Posted June 29, 2005 I think that a Saturday night get together is a great idea. My dad and I will be making the trip up and really don't know the area well, so its either hang out with some familiar faces or wander around and do our own thing. How far from the hotel is Dannys?
#89 Posted June 29, 2005 Author Posted June 29, 2005 Danny's is on the corner of Abbott and 20A Right on the corner by the stadium. Close by
R. Rich Posted June 29, 2005 Posted June 29, 2005 Beef on weck and wings are the only things I usually get there, so I'm good to go w/ that. I'll ask the Psycho what she would want in addition to those.
aussiew Posted June 29, 2005 Posted June 29, 2005 I loved the Saturday night get together and have no suggestions for improvement except that name tags would be a big help. (I'll bring them). The only negative I saw at the tailgate was that it was difficult for out of towners to cook since they couldn't bring grills. And I didn't know about the raffle. I saw some Bills stuff laying out on the table under the tent, but thought it belonged to people. Seems like we have taken care of the raffle situation with Baby Rock. (I can bring name tags for the tailgate as well)
BILLS4LIFE Posted June 30, 2005 Posted June 30, 2005 I loved their potato skins I got last year, but if not I will eat whatever.
R. Rich Posted June 30, 2005 Posted June 30, 2005 Wine, cheese and ascots. 371305 Cheese is @ Wegmans; ascots you can find @ the mall; the other can be found on the Stadium Wall.
Bob Lamb Posted July 1, 2005 Posted July 1, 2005 Wine, cheese and ascots. 371305 Are you trying to usurp someone's role ?
Hammered a Lot Posted July 1, 2005 Posted July 1, 2005 Also please let me know if there is anything you would like to have at the tailgate that will be an improvement. All suggestions will be considered. OH, intelligent too. I think she will be able to count and make change unlike last years) Besides Baby Rock OTHERS should step up and offer their time helping with tickets. How about a PA system. People who were sold tickets in the past, got ripped off because they could not hear the numbers.
aussiew Posted July 1, 2005 Posted July 1, 2005 How about a PA system Or a bullhorn? Might be less complicated.
Guffalo Posted July 1, 2005 Posted July 1, 2005 Or a bullhorn? Might be less complicated. 372603 Even a Karaoke machine will do in a pinch, If any locals have one....
JÂy RÛßeÒ Posted July 1, 2005 Posted July 1, 2005 How about a PA system. People who were sold tickets in the past, got ripped off because they could not hear the numbers. 372508 I started looking into this yesterday.
