Does anyone watch that anymore? It hasn't been funny in a long, long time.

How do you know it's not funny if you don't watch?

(Actually, it's hit-or-miss. Some nights are great, some suck, most fall in between.)

Because I see clips and they are never funny.

I know there are many people that have not watched the show in years who are under the false impression that it’s never funny any longer. Here are two skits from recent times that I think prove that the show still really hits the mark on occasion.

This may offend some today because of how sensitive we have become but Richard is so funny and these classic's can't be beat IMHO !!

Sorry don't mean to be a SH but since a long time ago that show hasn't been very funny so i don't watch and don't care but 50 yrs to be on TV is a long time and it use to have some very funny people .

I know this is dating myself but I loved Rosanne Roasanna danna & Belushi were some of the best !!

The early years were without doubt the best years,

Like death and taxes, you can bet on this:  if somebody brings up SNL, somebody else will quickly join the discussion to say how much it sucks and hasn't been funny in _____ years.

I watched the 50th anniversary show and was thoroughly entertained.  SNL is what it always has been...a spotlight for a currently popular personality (host), a relevant musical act, and sketch comedy that ranges from brilliant to awful.  Everyone has their favorites, but the show is iconic and still relevant today.

As an aside, the Netflix movie that essentially takes you through the chaotic run-up to the show's first ever episode is terrific.  The casting is unreal.

And yes, I think Josh would be a great host and knock it out of the park.

Getting ready to watch the SNL 50th Anniversary special and the wife asked me if I thought Josh would be asked to host now that he’s a league MVP? I thought it was a good question, so I will pose it to you.

I think he would nail it like Peyton Manning did. I also think that having a Hollywood starlet for a fiancée ups his chances, considering how much SNL likes cameo appearances.

it’s possible.

im not local to buffalo so I don’t know how  much of a public speaker he is

its hard for active athletes to host in season. It would be in the spring.

I don’t much on his fiancée work and woukd she be a host and thrn bring him with her

SNL is too political.  Josh needs to stay out of that rats nest.

That's another reason why i quit watching these so called "Comedians" now days the only thing they do is preach about their own political opinions I have tried to find a way to leave a couple of them messages and tell them they are not comedians, just nothing but a bunch of S**T heads but i couldn't find a direct way to message them .

I wouldn't watch Colbert or that POS Kimmel if you  held a gun to my head i can't stand to look at either one of them .

Several people have mentioned Peyton Manning, so I looked it up.  He hosted late March, 2007, less than two months after his first SB win, with the Colts, against the Bears.

God, I hope not. That show is nothing but propaganda now.
