Utah John Posted Saturday at 05:18 PM Posted Saturday at 05:18 PM It sounds good that the Bills would bring him back on a cheap contract as a depth CB, and the timing would need to be after the FA allocations are determined. But, the thing is, even depth CBs have to play, and Tre just looks slow. Possibly this was because he wasn't integrated into the Rams' or Ravens' system and was still thinking about where he needed to be, or maybe he just got injured too much and old. Tre is where Douglas will be in a year or two. Paying Douglas a lot just to watch him slide into his slow-running 30s doesn't make sense. Quote
Ed_Formerly_of_Roch Posted Saturday at 05:19 PM Posted Saturday at 05:19 PM Could do a wait and see, if no teams sign him by early July, means nobody wants him. I'd then sign him then with understanding, he's likely going to get cut and placed on PS (with a higher than required salary, but not too high either). Keep him there as insurance in case someone got hurt. Also would be good opportunity to evaluate how he looks in camp. Wouldn't play him in pre-season at all either so other teams can't get a look at how he's doing. If he doesn't look good, then wouldn't even bother with PS option. I say this, but do think he's strong enough that some team will sign him well prior, but if they don't, then here's plan B Quote
oldmanfan Posted Saturday at 05:21 PM Posted Saturday at 05:21 PM Only if he can convert to safety. Tre was a warrior for us but the two injuries plus age don’t add up to CB anymore. Quote

Tre was a warrior for us but the two injuries plus age don’t add up to CB anymore. He had significant injuries playing CB when he was younger. No way he holds up as a safety in his 30s - even if he could make the position switch. No as a CB too. They’d be wasting the roster spot and inviting distraction. I say this despite the fact that he was one of my favorite players. 4 minutes ago, nosejob said: Maybe he could be a good centerfielder... The Sabres could use a goalie……. bigK14094 Posted Saturday at 06:26 PM Posted Saturday at 06:26 PM High character guy, knows the D. Maybe as an assistant db coach if he wants to take his life in that direction. Quote

I read that Hamlin is not coming back Hamlin has previously expressed desire to play in Pittsburg so that may be a possibility. Whether he fits what they want in a safety is unknown. 1 Quote
djp14150 Posted Saturday at 06:52 PM Posted Saturday at 06:52 PM I’d sign Tre and DE chase young to low incentive driven contracts Quote
Beast Posted Saturday at 06:53 PM Posted Saturday at 06:53 PM We all love Tre but I’m not looking to add a player, especially a defensive back, that has had two major injuries from the knees and below in the past few seasons. Quote
gflande1 Posted Saturday at 07:48 PM Posted Saturday at 07:48 PM Yes, a one day contract, so he can retire a Bill. 2 Quote

Doc Brown Posted Saturday at 07:58 PM Posted Saturday at 07:58 PM Besides the questionable pass interference I thought T. White looked pretty good in that divisional round game. I was surprised to see him have that many snaps. My guess is he re-signs with the Ravens on an incentive type deal. He's obviously not close to the pre ACL/Achilles injuries. Quote
BillsFanForever19 Posted Saturday at 08:01 PM Posted Saturday at 08:01 PM (edited) Sure, he can take Micah's spot on the Practice Squad and play the same amount. Edit: The Ravens won't need to cut him. He's a Free Agent. They traded a 6th Round Pick to the Rams for White and a 7th - on a 1 year contract that elapsed at the end of this past season. That said, my original point stands. The guys toast. He was getting beat by Keon Coleman and was moved on by the Rams on his 'prove it deal' with them - after being torched time and again by speed WR's. Since1981 Posted Saturday at 08:12 PM Posted Saturday at 08:12 PM Could have used Tre over Elam for about two quarters. 1 Quote
RoyBatty is alive Posted Saturday at 09:08 PM Posted Saturday at 09:08 PM forget it. 1) he is washed, too often hurt. 2) he s too small/short for safety Quote
Gugny Posted Saturday at 09:18 PM Posted Saturday at 09:18 PM Hell, no. He stole enough money from the Bills. 1 Quote
davefan66 Posted Saturday at 09:35 PM Posted Saturday at 09:35 PM Nope. Not what he was. Even at the level he is at know. Love him, but no. Quote
Cheektowaga Chad Posted Saturday at 09:44 PM Posted Saturday at 09:44 PM As a 4th or 5th corner who knows the defense and has shown a willingness to help anywhere as needed Yes He is probably a perfect practice squad player next season for the bills Quote
