Sadly, there is a definite shelf life for the majority of RB’s in the NFL.  It’s part of what the Bills have to consider when paying someone like Cook.

But he had over 1,000 yards and 18 TD on 4.8 yards per carry in 2023...........basically the same year James Cook had last year(statistically at least).........by James Cook logic and the logic of some here on TSW that should have warranted a 4 year extension worth $50M to $60M.

Do not pay RB's.

Nobody is gonna pay Raheem Mostert any more than the vet minimum at his age, he's done.

Raheem Mostert always lied about his age! He lied about his age all the time! One time, Frank Sinatra came in here, and sat in this chair. I say, "Frank, you hang out with Raheem Mostert. Just between me and you, how old is Raheem Mostert?" Know what Frank told me? He said "Hey, Raheem Mostert is a hundred thirty-seven years old." A hundred and thirty-seven years old!

RBs are often big stars, second or third after the QB. Yet, their careers are very short, and most OLinemen are paid more. OLinemen don't get enough credit, but at least they get paid!

This guy had 20 TDs?  In 2023? Right?

he wasnt really given the ball last season despite being active for 13 games

for those saying he’s never healthy…

he has played in 16, 15 and 13 games the last 3 years.

32 years old could be mean he’s done

But I’d sign him for the summer just to see

Agreed.  It was funny watching Dolphins glaze him after re-signing Mosert in the offseason.  He’s a 30 year-old back with injuries and a history of fumbling.  Miami made the right choice

McDaniel's favorite player. I think they will be fine with Achane

Achane is explosive. But I doubt he ends up leading the Fins in carries or yards next year. Guy is made of glass.

Jaylen Wright, their 4th rounder from last year will end up playing more IMO.

He's had a 10 year career,  led the league in tds 2 seasons ago.

No need to worry about age with Cook. Give him a 4 year extension.
