If the Vikes felt that way, they don’t let Darnold leave the building then. JJ looked great in his limited preseason action. I have seen nothing to suggest the Vikes are down on him at all Quote

The Jets liked Zach Wilson so much that they let Arnold leave the building. Bears really loved Fields--so much so that they let Trubisky (who they also loved just 4 years earlier) leave the building. NE liked Mac Jones so much that 3 years later they drafted Drake Male....who they liked even more! 1 Quote
Gregg Posted March 21 Posted March 21 Aaron Rodgers has left the Steelers’ facility. The two sides have yet to come to an agreement at this time. — Dianna Russini (@diannarussini.bsky.social) 2025-03-21T19:25:21.474Z Quote
stevewin Posted Thursday at 07:04 PM Posted Thursday at 07:04 PM (edited) Random item: On Mcafee today Rodgers said Josh was one of his best friends in the league (context was how he had discussion w/ Daboll and enjoyed him) Edited Thursday at 07:05 PM by stevewin Quote
eball Posted Thursday at 07:08 PM Posted Thursday at 07:08 PM I just listened to the McAfee interview. I’m no Rodgers supporter but if the meeting went down in any way like he said it did, LMAO at the continuing clown show of a Jets organization, even with the new HC and GM. Aaron Glenn and the GM should absolutely have picked Rodgers’ brain about what he thought was good and what he thought needed changing within that culture. There was literally no downside to doing that, and they could do what they want with the information and still tell him they’re moving on. Just a ridiculous team and I think they’ll continue to be a laughing stock. 2 Quote

Having him fly all the way across country and then just firing him on something that could've been done on a simple phone call makes me scared this Jets regime knows what it's doing. 1 1 Quote

Nah, they did the right thing making the meeting a short formality and cutting ties with him entirely. His opinions on "culture" are worthless. 1 2 Quote

So, you mean they are immunized? I don’t doubt that the Jets are fools at times, and I’m no fan of Rodgers either, but WTH happened here? And why? There had to be a better way. Take the high road and do the right thing for the right reason. Edited Thursday at 07:22 PM by Augie 1 Quote

He’s not your typical star athlete and a lot of people can’t deal with that. He doesn’t do himself any favors with the way he often comes across, but there’s no question he has a lot of friends in the league and is highly regarded. Quote

If he truly qualifies for a HC job in the NFL then he doesnt need to hear Rodgers' opinion on a culture RODGERS HIMSELF cultivated and lead. Sure, there are larger, overarching problems in the organization. But Glenn cant cut Woody Johnson. Rodgers thinking he should have been consulted on what was wrong with a team that HE played for and lead, that HE forced his OC onto, that HE forced the players he wanted onto... shows exactly why he shouldnt be consulted in the first place. You think Rodgers is going to call out his own behavior point out the Jets were stupid to kowtow to his every demand? Worthless conversation, imo and in Glenn's opinion. Quote
