Looks like the Vikings are out. It looks like it will either be the Steelers or Giants.

The Vikings were never in. JJ was going to start last year before he got hurt. What changed that they would want Rodgers?

Pure clickbait nonsense IMO

I think he will. His last game last year he looked amazing. I could see that being his last game

If he doesn't hes just waiting for an injury IMO to sign with a team

He's playing. Keeping him in the spotlight by saying stupid crap and then complaining about the media focusing too much on him is what he lives for.   Plus, making $30-$40m year is just dumb to turn down.  I don't care how rich you already are.

I just get the sense listening to MacAfee and some of the things Rodgers has said that he definitely wanted to play for the Rams or Vikings, and would have signed with either team already.

IMO, his #1 plan was the Rams once Stafford left, which seemed pretty likely. He goes to LA, plays there in a fairly weak division with a great offensive minded HC. Then the Vikings emerged as an idea and he wanted to explore that and try to drum up interest. Great team, play in the old division, get 2 shots at Green Bay. But it turns out they don't seem interested.

So now, it's Steelers or Giants. Steelers are allergic to NFL offense, and always seem to start 11-1 or 9-3 and then lose a bunch of games in a row before getting bounced in the Wild Card round. But they have a good team and just got Metcalf for some reason.

Giants are just awful and have 1 good offensive player and a coach and GM about to get fired halfway through the season if things start rough. Both Washington and Philly are great teams, so it's also a tough division.

I could see him saying he came back in his 40's from a torn Achilles to be a top 10 QB in yards and TDs last season (which is somehow true), played all 17 games, was starting to heat up at the end of the year once he fully recovered from injury, won his 4 MVPs and a Super Bowl, and has nothing to prove.

He'll also deny that he tried to join the Vikings or kept anyone waiting, saying the media created it all and loves making him the center of controversy.

Just my prediction.

I think he would already be a Steeler if they gave in to his demands and signed his buddies. But unlike the Jets, the Steelers are by and large a well run organization and they aren't going to let Aaron run the team. If he signs there he's just a player on the roster. He won't be afforded the same level of say so the Jets gave him.

I think he's using the Giants as leverage and has no real interest in joining that tire fire.

It would be easy for him to sign with Giants. He has a house in NJ so all he would have to do is trade green for blue. He better accept a 4-to-6-win team as that is probably where the Giants will be. The Eagles and Commanders are much better, and the Cowboys are also better as well. With the Steelers he would have a shot at the playoffs, but I still think the division is the Ravens to lose.

Somehow, I don't think finding a place in Pittsburgh would be too difficult. He's got a few bucks saved Im sure.

The real issue with the Giants is that one as you mentioned, the Giants are the fourth best team in the division and him playing there doesn't improve that. They have 1 really good weapon for him to throw to in Nabors and a RB that showed some flash in Tracey. They have a coach and GM that are likely on borrowed time and an owner just as clueless and intrusive as the Jets.

At least with Pittsburgh, they are in the hunt every year at a minimum. They brought in Metcalf. They have a solid defense to back them up. His chances at the playoffs are far and away better in Pittsburgh. The division may flow through Baltimore, but they weren't far and away winners of it last year even with Jackson playing amazing and Henry running wild.

I think he wants to play for Tomlin but doesn’t want anything to do with Arthur Smith’s offense.  Or he’s been told they aren’t changing the offense for him like did in NYJ.

The Giants just aren’t going to be a very good team.  Knowing Daboll, you’d think he would have some degree of freedom with the offense.

It just makes you wonder how badly he wants to start for a team who’s probably going to be middling at best.   At 41, he likely wants a contender and I don’t get that impression from NYG.  Plus Daboll and Schoen need him a lot more than Rodgers needs them.

Rodgers doesn't make sense for the Giants either. They are going to be bad in 2025. A 41-year-old QB past his prime isn't changing that. Stick with Tommy "Cutlets" Devito and suffer through a poor season and maybe they win the Arch Manning sweepstakes.

Not 100% clickbait it think.

MCCarthy is an extremely shaky top pick and lasted 5 minutes so far in this league.   From Darnold to JJ, they are going to see a massive drop-off.

They got two off seasons of hype out of him for anyone who went along with it. The outcome was tragic then pathetic. A true dumpster fire of a team.

It makes sense if you are Brian Daboll and Joe Schoen trying to save your job… but for Rodgers it makes little sense.

That’s why I think he’s being so hesitant.  He wants Minnesota and is hoping they’ll bite.  He’ll settle for Pittsburgh and if down to the Giants, he’ll contemplate retiring

So what’s happening with Wilson in the meantime? Is he the consolation prize if teams miss out on Rodgers ? That’s a slap in the face for him

He was talented enough for them to draft him.

If they loved JJ enough to take him top 10 last year but have already fallen out of love with him, they are complete jokes. IMO.
