Any rational person would clearly prefer the completely transparent side and if they were wrong about something we can see and give our input. If things were set up wrong before under the previous mess of an administration you would have had no idea. Ignorance is bliss I guess. 1

There sure might be a recession coming. The tariffs have not even hit yet! How many blows can the American economy take? Fewer immigrants hurt the economy as well https://www.cnn.com/2025/02/21/economy/consumer-sentiment-inflation-tariffs Quote WashingtonCNN — Inflation is picking up again and President Donald Trump said this week it’s all his predecessor’s fault. But no matter who Trump blames for inflation, America’s economic mood is now souring — and Trump is getting the heat for it. The University of Michigan’s latest survey, released Friday, showed that US consumer sentiment declined in February for the second consecutive month, according to a final reading, down by a steep 10% from January. That was double the decline initially reported earlier this month. It’s a stunning about-face after American consumers and businesses grew hopeful (briefly) about the economy’s future following Trump’s election in November. The latest decline in consumer sentiment was driven by worries over Trump’s tariffs potentially jacking up prices. 1

How many months until you all stop comparing to Biden and just opine on the whacky ***** Trump is doing? Biden will go down in the top 3 worst presidents of all time. The bar he set was insanely low. And yet here we have a doofus of a POTUS talking about paper straws and annexing Greenland. Most of us dems know that Biden was a disaster. Can we just take Trump on face value and not say “well, at least it’s better than Biden!” No *****. That’s like getting a cancer diagnosis and saying “well at least it’s not stage 4 yet!!” Look at Trumps promises (on day 1!!) and compare to what he’s currently focused on. And to that point, I’ll give my disclaimer to give him credit for playing Mexico perfectly on the tariff threat that led to them sending troops to the border. Expertly business move. But beyond that, the areas he’s focused on are embarrassingly unimportant and more focused on spite and revenge - but that’s what we get for electing a narcissistic man child to run the country.

Top 3? Whose 1 and 2 And if your claim about Biden being one of the worst POTUSs of all time is accurate, do you believe his term would influence the next guys term? Edited 22 hours ago by Pokebball

We’re arguing over whether he was worst or third worst? He really hurt you, huh? and OF COURSE there is spillover. So why is Trump focusing on Straws, Greenland, and being king instead of undoing the ***** Biden did? and if I must answer you question, I’d say Andrew Johnson and James Buchanan were worse than the old Sleepy one. 1

Franklin Pierce. Warren G. Harding. WHH. Grant had a pretty weak presidency. GWB was objectively bad. It's a miracle the Middle East didn't spiral into a regional war. Biden deserves a ton of credit for that. His economy, all things considered, was pretty good. A lot of the unhappiness with the economy is traceable to people's own failings (poor spending habits, lack of discipline) and the COVID fallout. My beef with Biden is that he didn't speak well enough, or maybe enough, to the working class. The student loan thing was a bad idea. We had a chance to take back the narrative about Democrats being the party of farmers and workers and unions. And, unfortunately, we didn't. Ultimately, though, he didn't project strength. Trump is a fat, weak, old, flabby phony. But people think he's strong. A guy like Obama runs Trump over. Bill Clinton probably does the same. Sanders probably beats him in 2016 if he's the nominee. We need that right now in the Democratic Party. I'm not sure, though, who that is.
