That game was nowhere near a worse QB performance.
 

Mahomes turned the ball over 3 times. Brady lost by 3 and was in the game for all 4 quarters and held the lead twice.

 

Not scoring enough points is always better than giving away points.

Kelce can still play, but he's definitely in decline and the Chiefs' aura of invincibility is gone.  He's got multiple rings, lots of $ earned playing football, a high-profile girlfriend, and all kinds of irons in the fire in the entertainment business.  He's going to make millions off the field with commercials, podcasts, etc.  He's definitely a Hall of Famer, as he's one of the best TE's of all time.  Why put his aging body through the grind and risk further injury?

Denver will be together with Nix and Peyton for year 2. 

 

They nearly lost to the Raiders twice and the Broncos by a blocked FG. Chargers were both 1 score games too. Sometimes after a big loss like that, teams struggle the following season. Especially considering all the voodoo magic they needed this year to win, they are due for a regression

May not be his decision to come back. Only way I see KC bring him back is at a pay cut, but then that may motivate him less to come back at all. 

He has the highest AAV of any TE. If he isn’t sure he’s going to retire now, then wait until KC talks contract with him. He’s not only looking at a substantial pay cut, but he’ll need his snaps reduced so he can perform in the playoffs. Realistically, he’s 35 and it’s time.

Yeah, Gronk was injured a lot, and that makes him a notch below Kelce imo. Kelce also had speed and agility at one point, without needing an arm brace to club defenders.

I don’t mean to gloss over players playing through injury, but late in the season and in the playoffs everyone plays hurt to some degree. Also his injuries were not so severe that he needed surgery. Beane was correct in his assessment that Kincaid needs to add muscle and get his body in the kind of shape needed to get through an NFL season. It would help with his blocking too. Honestly, I’m surprised that he did not improve more in that regard last offseason. It could be the difference between him making $10M+ a year and being out of the league in a couple seasons.
