Corner is a spot where I would be wary of medicals more than some others. I feel like it's a spot where those risks generally don't pay off... Caleb Farley and Andrew Booth spring to mind... but he might just be worth the shot.

Do you see any similarities between Ezeiruaku and, say, Jerry Hughes?  Very similar size, though I think Ezeiruaku has slightly longer arms - Hughes looked a little thicker in old college tapes.  Maybe Ezeiruaku has more pass rush moves than Hughes did coming into the league?

Alfred Collins is so impressive moving literally. I’ll be interested to see how he measures because he doesn’t look or move like someone who weighs 320 pounds. Would be a big fan of him being drafted to be our 1tech.

Absolutely. Him and Walker are physical specimens. Both of their issues is what most guys that size have a problem with; getting out leveraged. If they can learn to play with better pad level and use their size for their own leverage advantage, they could be seriously dominant. Anchoring their gap/s is a mostly a technique issue with men their size. Hopefully the coaching staff of Babich/Nielsen/West can make that a priority if they end up on this team.

Alfred Collins popped out to me watching casually during the end of the CFB season.

He would be a fun fit, and I'd be thrilled with him at the end of the second round.

It would be so great if we landed a beast DT or two,

Agree. If you think about it, that’s been the main issue for this defense. Oliver flashes, but not that consistent. But if we had two super elite spacing eating monsters inside, that then probably solves our run defense issues, and on passing downs, it makes our average edge-setting ends much better, and covers up lack of talent in the secondary.

I hope picks 1 and 2 are DTs.

I don’t see any way they waste a pick on a running back. They may already have the best trio in the league and I am betting Johnson comes back….then add Gore on the PS. They’ll sign an UDFA for that group.

And I don’t want a guy with hip issues at CB.

Give me Matthew Golden at 30 and then Alfred Collins and Darius Alexander at 56 and 62.

The Andrew Booth medicals led us to the Kair Elam failure.  Terrible

I haven't heard Booth's named mentioned since the draft til just now.  Has that guy even played?

I don’t believe so.

Last time I remember his name was he got traded then cut and put on the PS pretty much immediately after.

Buscaglia's reasoning for him (Ezeiruaku) was that he plays on the right side mostly(60%), he has above average arm length and has the explosiveness the bills covet.

He seems to me like a guy you take because you think you have to take an end because you need an end.  I don't see how lining up a 250 pound defensive end without dominant traits is a fit in this defense.  I guess there are a lot of guys his size, I mean he is basically the same size as vonn miller.  So what do I know.

I just personally wasn't a fan of these three picks in the top 100.  Good thing is it will change about a dozen times by the time of the draft.

Yea I don't think he is worth #30.No way.

I don't think he has either the explosiveness or the power that Jerry had. Although Jerry came out before I was getting stuck into trying to evaluate draft prospects so I might be unfairly comparing league vet Jerry Hughes with rookie prospect Ezeiruaku.

Wiki says he is on the Cowboys "active roster".

Vikes used up a second on the gamble.

I 'd rather cut Gilliam and keep Gore protected from poachers. What a RB room that would be.

I don't like this at all as I think there will be be better lineman at #30.  the (2) 2nd round picks I'm fine with but wasting picks (even if they're late picks) on non-need areas of P, RB, G and QB is a bit stupid.  Take flyers on DL or WR there and see what hits. Is a RB really beating out any of our top 3?  Is a guard making our team (Oline is stacked)? Same with QB and Punter. I do like the fact Beane has 10 picks to use or trade.

I think I might be happy with Donovan Ezeiruaku in the first. Very talented guy, productive, and will rise with good workout numbers.

But first I want to see his 10-yard split, broad jump, vertical, and bench press.

That said, if we take him in the first, I’d be looking for a space eating DT the second. Someone like Collins from Texas.

(But we are still early in the evaluation process - so I reserve the right to change my mind! Haha)
