zow2 Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago The Eagles just won two recent Super Bowls (2018 & 2025) over both AFC Dynasty teams with an entirely different QB/Head Coach combo and mostly different players across the board. That's unbelievably impressive when you think about it. Howie Roseman is playing chess over in Philly, while we are playing hungry hippo. 3 Quote

Rebuilding from Chip Kelly's one year of personnel control, in which he set the franchise back big time (thanks again for Shady, chip!) Before he lost GM duties, he had built a strong team that made Kelly look like a genius. And then once he got control back, he's done just as OP describes: built two different contenders with completely different coaches and QB's. He's not perfect. He's missed on plenty of moves/picks. The guy's still probably the best in the biz. 1 Quote
BarleyNY Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago (edited) The Eagles also implemented a very aggressive (and sustainable) cap strategy. It’s been copied by the Browns, but their Watson debacle derailed any chance of real success with it. Still, it enabled them to get to the playoffs in 2023 despite the QB issues. The Eagles aggressively roll almost every cap dollar they can into future years through the use of signing bonuses and void years. This allows a cash spend of 15%-18% more than teams with a more traditionally managed cap. That’s a huge advantage. Edited 2 hours ago by BarleyNY 2 Quote
