Alphadawg7 Posted February 11 Posted February 11 Brown would make some sense, we will 8 hours ago, Magox said: He is a decent route runner who can win vertically. I have been a pretty big proponent of not using lots of cap resources on a WR this off season but from what I saw he is expected to get a contract somewhere around $9m a year. That is about right at the top of what they should spend on a WR this off season. DE, DT, Safety and CB are needs. Yeah, he would make some sense for the reasons you stated 1 Quote

But he is a different type of WR than Cooper and has a skillset that we're missing that Cooper doesn't possess in speed. More importantly than that though, he will be cheaper than Amari Cooper. And if they choose to focus on Defense with a big move like Myles Garrett, as well as finding replacements for Rasul Douglas, Daquan Jones, and Damar Hamlin - retaining Amari Cooper (along with Mack Hollins) may be out of our price range. Fine. Handshake. But you can take full responsibility when Hollywood is on IR for most of the season / isn't used properly 1 Quote

But you can take full responsibility when Hollywood is on IR for most of the season / isn't used properly Oh, trust me, like I said in the OP - I'd prefer something more than Hollywood Brown. If it were up to me, calling around about a Trade for a True #1 WR and then going all in on Tee Higgins (if he wasn't franchised) if the calls around got us nowhere would be my first priority. I'm just saying that if it is true that there's interest in Hollywood - it could be that they're looking at cheaper options than even Amari Cooper bc they plan on their big spending going elsewhere. Even if we did tab Hollywood for Cooper's roster spot - I'd want us to carry 6 WR's this year and Draft a WR somewhere as further insurance. Quote

YoloinOhio Posted February 11 Posted February 11 Oh I figured out the obvious connection, Cousin of Bills legend Antonio Brown who refused to show up after a trade to the Bills in 2019 because he said Josh Allen sucked and 6 years later still a hater Quote

I would love a talented WR on a rookie contract. I’m not sure about spending big cap on one. Our separation stats are so bad. I just don’t know if last years success is sustainable with WRs and a system that don’t create separation. Sure, our offense was improved overall, but that's not going to attract players like it might have in the past. Hopefully our success, team culture & proven QB will help attract the right players, but playing in the windy, cold, no-roof stadium in Western NY with a more conservative offense isn't going to have most WRs lining up to take pay cuts to play here. Not saying people won't play here (we're not in the drought era anymore), but I'd expect we'd have to pay at least Curtis Samuel-level contracts for people in this tier. Quote

Have you noticed the proliferation of articles reporting that other reporters have come up with wild trade or signing? Like "Bills linked to Tyreek Hill." Quote

Warriorspikes51 Posted February 14 Posted February 14 Deebo Samuel may be released. I wouldn’t trade for him but as a UFA I’d be interested + more rumors of Josh recruiting Hollywood Brown Quote
