No single defensive player had a bigger contribution to the win. They don't give MVP to groups. It's an individual award. Sweat had 2.5 sacks, 2 TFL's and 3 qb hits. That's a pretty impressive box score. Like I said if we strike out on a Garrett/ Cosby trade, I'm going to work up a strong Sweat. Roseman and the Front 4 were your MVP's. He had a great game, passing & running, and making key plays all night. Other than that bone headed INT in FG territory he, like you said, played a quality game. Cant complain about the selection. Not the only reason they won but certainly was key. Kid elevates himself in the Super Bowl in back to back appearances. Quote

I came on here the other day and said the pass rush doesn’t matter if KC runs the short pass game like they did vs the Bills. Boy, was I wrong! Mahomes got so antsy from being hit, he was rushing passes with a clean pocket, which I know was rare in this game. it was the kind of game that pretty much ended Tony Eason’s career after the 85 Bears harassed him or Jared Goff’s performance for a couple years after the Patriots pummeled him. Mahomes seems to be a different breed who shouldn’t be affected by this game but who knows. unless they change the definition to MVP [Most Valuable Player(s)] then no, sorry. They wreaked havoc all night but Hurts capitalized on almost every chance the D gave him. He’s been low key banged up pretty much all of last (2023) season and parts of this season. He’s very f’in good when healthy. He deserves it 100%. Quote

I'm fine with Hurts winning this years MVP, but I honestly think half of the QB's in the NFL could have won that game yesterday. Physically, yes. But his identification of pressure was seriously impressive. I think fewer than half a dozen QBs in the league could have identified the pressure and adjusted protections as well as he did. That has always been Hurts' super power. He isn't the most accurate thrower of a football ever, he is a bit "see it, throw it" rather than someone who throws guys open but he works so hard and is so prepared. That boy had watched tons of tape of KC. It was really evident. There wasn't a blitz in Spags' bag he hadn't seen before on film and wasn't prepared for. 1 Quote
PaoloBillsFanFromItaly Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago 1) defense (especially dline) 2) offensive line (pass pro was excellent) 3) qb Quote

Doc Brown Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago I think the voters gave DeVontae Smith 1st team SB all Pro but gave the SB MVP to Jaylen Hurts. He deserved it. Led the team in rushing too with the Chiefs shutting down Barkely. Quote
