Livinginthepast Posted 19 hours ago Posted 19 hours ago The Eagles played the perfect game on D against Mahomes. They had smothering pass coverage with great pressure. Absolutely the keys to victory. On offense Hurts had enough time to throw and later on made some great scrambles. They took Chris Jones out of the game. Spagnuolo looked like an amateur out there! What would we have done? I think Josh would have done a way better job scoring on the Eagles but our pathetic pass rush and weak zone would have been shredded. The Rams played the best game vs the Eagles in these playoffs and came close to winning but blew it in the end with the turnovers and bad passes. I think we come up short like they did most likely but depending on just chance or good fortune (something the Bills never seem to have lately) we win the game 3/10 times. Quote
yall Posted 18 hours ago Posted 18 hours ago My biggest fear this season was facing the Iggles in the SB. It would have given us the chance to do a very "Bills" thing - suffer a defeat in the super bowl to every single NFC East team. 1 Quote
Pine Barrens Mafia Posted 18 hours ago Posted 18 hours ago Our offense would have been better but our baby poop defense would have gotten throttled 1 Quote

Not saying we would have won but I highly doubt it would have been 34-0 either. We just saw what the Chiefs look like when the refs aren’t allowed to give them help. Goodell & NFL knew all eyes were going to be on the officiating after the backlash. I think the Bills/Eagles would’ve been much more competitive. I think Buffalo ends up short, but not by much. Quote
Buckets Posted 18 hours ago Posted 18 hours ago I'm thinking that it's just as well we didn't make it to the super bowl and end up 0 and 5. I can see those headlines. Quote
CSBill Posted 18 hours ago Posted 18 hours ago Bills have solved the Fangio defense many times. We crush them! Quote

Steptide Posted 18 hours ago Posted 18 hours ago Honestly, I feel like the bills defense would've done exactly what kc's did, plan so heavily for saquon, and then let aj brown just annihilate the secondary. Eagles defense was just absolutely crazy good last night and I don't think the bills or McDermott wouldve been prepared for it. Even with a loss though, I still wish the bills had made it Quote
billieve420 Posted 18 hours ago Posted 18 hours ago Consolation prize from this season was Allen winning MVP and KC getting smoked in the Super Bowl. I doubt the Bills could have won yesterday against that Eagles D but think we would have looked better than the performance KC put up yesterday. Quote
DrBob806 Posted 18 hours ago Posted 18 hours ago Uh, nope. KC was vulnerable all year but remained the AFC's best. Philly- very good with nasty trench guys, a very complete team. Quote

colin Posted 18 hours ago Posted 18 hours ago looking back, the two best teams in the nfc by the time the playoffs rolled around were the rams and iggles. a snow storm and all kinds of stuff got philly over the rams, the rams were harassing hurts unmerciful but barclay ate them. the ravens, bills, and kc were all the top flight teams in the afc. the bills came down to back end injuries, bad drops, and horrible calls from beating kc in kc. if we look at what the bills O did in domes vs the rams and detroit, i think we can say that allen and co would have balled the eff out in new orleans on O and made it a game. 1 Quote
Gregg Posted 18 hours ago Posted 18 hours ago If last year is any indication, then yes, they would have. Didn't the Bills lose at Philly in OT. That was a game they easily could have won. 1 Quote
ExiledInIllinois Posted 18 hours ago Posted 18 hours ago Yes Bills have only lost 2 by more than 6 points in the last ~50 games. You know how many years that is. And one game was Cincy playoff. Ok... 3, forgot the 1st KC AFCCG under Josh... But not a blowout. Only blowout was this past season against Ravens. Bills definitely would have been fighting the Eagles to end. The League's loss. Bills always hang! Oh well. 2 minutes ago, Gregg said: If last year is any indication, then yes, they would have. Didn't the Bills lose at Philly in OT. That was a game they easily could have won. The Bills got screwed in that game too on the Brown sketchy call! 1 Quote
May Day 10 Posted 18 hours ago Posted 18 hours ago It would have been tough. I believe our o line would have stood up better and Allen dealt with the pressure a little better. The bills would have run the ball more than like twice too On d it might have been tough. They would have sold out to stop Barkley, but I think Smith, brown, and goedert would cause mucho problems Quote
BRH Posted 18 hours ago Posted 18 hours ago I'm not gonna be one of those "I'm glad we didn't make it" people. The only way to win it is to be in it. It was a nice consolation prize watching the Chiefs get humiliated, but I'd rather have been watching us play last night. I don't think Josh would have laid quite the egg that Kermit did. Quote
gjv Posted 18 hours ago Posted 18 hours ago KC Oline was no match for Eagles Dline. Bills Oline, I think, would have matched up better against Philly. Bills/Eagles Super Bowl could have been a classic shootout. Quote

Well technically you'd have to throw the Cardinals in there as well seeing they were a part of that division for the first 4 Super Bowl losses. 😈😁 1 Quote
