The Worthy Trade Keeps Looking Worse and Worse

With Worthy:  Embarrassing loss.  

 

Wasn’t exactly a difference maker and Mahomes had maybe his worst season as a pro all year too.

To be fair I saw him running free a couple of times while Mahomes had no time to find him. Eagles DLine won this game.

Plus, last year's draft was phenomenal for wide receivers and there were many fast wide receivers that could separate, which were still available after the stupid decision the Bill's made by drafting Coleman and not Worthy or some of the other receivers they could have gotten instead, yet even when they did that, they did nothing in the later rounds to address it and there were still great wideouts available that were vertical threats.

The play wasn’t to draft Worthy.  The play was to move up and pick Brian Thomas Jr.

He had 1 yard receiving when the game became a runaway blowout.

 

I don’t think he would have made a difference for the Bills, and he didn’t make a difference for the Chiefs.

It's weird for this guy being such an incredible difference maker Mahomes was throwing a whole lot of picks and not a lot of TDs when the game was actually on the line. I mean Mahomes is really good and Andy Reid can scheme guys open like nobodies business, so did Worthy get lost on his way to the stadium or something?

I mean…he did have a good game in the AFCCG to help them make to Super Bowl. So ‘didn’t make a difference for the Chiefs’ isn’t quite true.

You’re missing the point.

 

You and others keep saying “well worthy didn’t do this” or “it will be years before we know”. That has nothing to do with it!!

 

The Chiefs could’ve drafted a back up water boy with that pick, and it still would’ve been a stupid trade.

 

The player they picked is irrelevant to me. Yoi just do not trade with your nemesis!!! You don’t trade with your bully!!! You don’t give the team that always beat you, what they want!!!

 

I am generally perplexed that some of you do not understand this concept. It’s NOT about Worthy!!!

The Chiefs had that deep threat the first 57 minutes of this game.

Fire all of the scouts and do a Twitter poll to see who the Bills should draft. The fans would have got this one right. I can't remember a time when the fans would have got it wrong compared to who we actually drafted. The "big boards" are almost always better than who we actually draft

Against the Bills defense which was awful. Not really much of a measuring stick IMO.

Being real - the play was to make drafting WRs high a focus of the organization three years ago. Instead of drafting exactly 1 in rounds 1-3 over a four year period. The problems in the WR room are not the result of a single decision made 9 months ago.

 

But hopefully everyone is on the same page now - keep investing in the position, and when it's finally in a great spot keep investing more.
