That Miami defense was absolutely decimated for the kc game in the playoffs last year. I’d have to go back through them all but idk how much of it was fangio’s fault lol Quote

They proclaimed it worst SB ever. Not sure what they’re talking about lol. beautiful game The Worst for me for sheer boredom was the Pats vs Rams SB in 2019. All 4 Bills SBs also rank as awful and so do all those 80's blowouts. Edited yesterday at 02:50 AM by Livinginthepast 1 1 Quote

It helps when you have the horses, but his previous record against KC is irrelevant. Fact is, he took the worst D in the league last year and turned them into the league’s best. It’s far more than “one game he mattered.” Quote

But we are ridiculously far away from fielding a defense like Philly's. Like 10 players away. I don't see any way that happens any time soon. The offense is close. We're 1-2 players away from closing the deal against KC in each of our past two playoff defeats. So that's my point. Not that we should ignore the defense entirely, but that the path to glory is still much easier to realize through offensive investments than defensive investments. My point isn't field a Philly defense, that's why I said they are 1 of 1. But that same Philly defense was horrible LY too. They decided to invest in the secondary primarily, and DL. Even after trading away Reddick. This defense can be overhauled in an offseason. Am I expecting Philly results, no. But 3-4 new starters is doable...speed and physicality up front and secondary. We have 3 high picks that could accomplish alot. Beane has to execute and field a better defense in 2025. I don't care if we get a Tee Higgins. Is Josh going to play as efficient as LY? Our defense once again held us back. We needed a literally perfect offensive performance to win. Shouldn't take that, we need a defense capable of playing like Houstons for example. 2 Quote

It's like what we did with poyer and hyde.. poyer was a browns castaway.. considered not good enough for a bad team Hyde was a good football player, considered a role player... McDermott took both and develop them into all pros.. the best of the best Baun is similarly of the same thing... But the rest of the league thought he was a one-year stop Gap player... The eagles get credit for putting him in the right position to turn him into a player That's player development... But in September if you said Baun or Nick bolton.. nobody here would say baun is the guy they'd rather have Edited yesterday at 02:50 AM by Buffalo716 1 Quote
