RobbRiddick Posted 15 hours ago Posted 15 hours ago (edited) This is hilarious. NFL put up a video titled "Patrick Mahomes Best Plays from 3TD Game Vs the Eagles" The first play they show is when the score is 34-0 ! Eagles fans were laughing because it was the first highlight video the NFL put up after the game. Edited 15 hours ago by RobbRiddick 1 5 Quote

I just wish Andy would retire. I really think that team would turn to s**t without him. I'd be genuinely interested to see Mahomes without him drawing up his plays 2 Quote

That's my first reaction I'm sure it is "supposed" to salve the chief fans grief. Good Luck with that SMH lol 1 Quote
Success Posted 15 hours ago Posted 15 hours ago I can't recall seeing a top tier QB play as bad as Mahomes did in that 1st half in a SB or even a playoff game. He really looked pathetic. Quote

To be fair in the drought years I remember Buffalo Bills.com featuring highlights of sweet Stevie Johnson catches when the team usually got their butts just kicked. 1 Quote

And the season video yearbooks, where it would be 5 minutes of game highlights, and 20-25 minutes of how the new draft picks, coach, trades, were going to get the Bills back to glory. Quote
HappyDays Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago Chiefs have a tough offseason to navigate. Now I'm sure there are some moves they can make to push up that $11M but the Hunts have not shown a willingness to pay a lot of money up front to create cap room. I don't think they can afford to re-sign Trey Smith so they start the offseason in terrible shape on the OL. I expect that to be their focus in the draft. We thought Coleman and Bishop were disappointing, well their 2nd round pick OT Kingsley Suamataia was so bad they moved Thuney to LT just to keep him off the field. 2 Quote

Meanwhile, they still barely recognize the extremeley marketable star in Josh Allen, who is not only one of the best players in the league (if not the best), but also a great human being. So marketable yet the NFL has to continue to push the the same stale narrative of the Chiets. I should add, Jalen Hurts deserves some league recognition as well. Suamataia couldn't play left tackle in college. Imagining he'd be able to in the NFL was a predictable fail. Bolton, Smith, Reid are big players for them and I'm sure they'd love to keep Hollywood and one of their 1Ts (Wharton or Nnadi). I imagine Reid walks and Jordan Hicks gets a shot at the job after playing well in spot duty as a rook. They might be able to get Wharton back on a cheap deal and I think they will try to retain Bolton. But they definitely have some tough decisions to make and they MUST absolutely MUST find a way to acquire a proper left tackle. 4 Quote

They may have been better served leaving Thuney at LG and making do with Wanya Morris at LT. I understand the thought process but putting an almost unrosterable player at LG just to get average LT play was probably a step too far. 1 Quote

Yeah it's an important point about the Hunt family being a little thrifty. It's not like what Belichick gradually did to his roster because I am sure Kraft would have paid for talent but Belichick just made a lot of bad choices. Veach makes good choices but I think once they started collecting Lombardi trophies they lost a little of their taste for spending. And it's more difficult there because the wealth is split among family members. Individually, Clark Hunt would be the poorest owner in the league. He has to have his family aligned on spending and that situation can be difficult. 2 Quote

The fact that they accepted the Bills deal means that the Bills had the best offer. Obviously. Since they wouldn’t have accepted the Bills offer if they had a better offer. You assume that a team below us trades to KC and you assume a team below us doesn’t take him before KC can trade up. It’s just a bunch of assumptions. There is zero proof KC gets the player they want if we don’t trade that pick. Yeah its an assumption. Dallas, Ravens, SF. I doubt any of those 3 take him. If they did then KC just takes someone else. It isn't a big deal. Mahomes would have just made another receiver get 600 yards on the season. Quote

Mahomes was right up there with those 1 1 Quote

The casual fan will look back and see it’s not that bad a stat line and may even say the Bucs game was worse? Not even close. The only time Mahomes did anything the defense was in limp mode and the final 2 scoring drives were against the majority of their backups. Passer rating, love or hate the metric, Mahomes had a 10.7 rating prior to the Eagles letting up 34-0. I can’t think of a worse performance outside Rich Gannon’s in SB37… 2 Quote

Ultimately at the NFL level when you are that bad at one of the premium spots - QB, boundary receiver, pass rusher, outside corner, left tackle - eventually it catches up with you. Although Reid refusing to run the ball on those first 3 or 4 drives before it got out of hand to slow the Philly rush down and possibly open up some play action opportunities was baffling. If might not have worked but it was evident straight away that the Oline could not hold up if that became a pure dropback football game. 1 Quote
zow2 Posted 13 hours ago Posted 13 hours ago Boy, Andy Reid sure looks ordinary in these Super Bowls when his QB is not making magical plays. Quote
