kkim0904 Posted February 10 Posted February 10 After watching today's game, we need new Defensive Coordinator. Also, I am extremely upset that Brady should have designed more running play for Josh. Jalen running opened up the plays for Philly against top KC defense. 2 Quote

Lot of people don't understand there is far more to punting in the NFL than how many yards you average. The hidden yards you give back by kicking TBs instead of pinning teams inside the 10 are pretty costly. 1 2 Quote

But he outkicks his coverage and twice tonight he failed to pin the Eagles deep. Just boom into the end zone for a 30-yard net. He sucked tonight. Quote
Low Positive Posted February 10 Posted February 10 I was happy that the Chiefs lost. Reading TBD tonight, I now realize that the Bills lost. Now I’m depressed. 2 Quote

Fangio was like 0-8 versus the Chiefs previously. Front 4 harassed Mahomes all game and they did not need to blitz. Beane should be looking to poach someone from their FO or scouting staff instead. That or stick to drafting primarily SEC players. Talent on defense was deciding factor. 2 Quote

Why so serious? 😁 Quote

I noticed. It happened it a couple of time and one of his punts led to a decent return due to lack of hang time. I’m not really sure a punt inside the 10 versus a touchback makes much difference tonight. Quote
Doc Brown Posted February 10 Posted February 10 It was going to be a nauseating game no matter what. This was pry the least nauseating possible outcome though. Just had to live with watching Xavier Worthy tear it up. That's about it. Quote

JohnNord Posted February 10 Posted February 10 Tonight’s game was all about the Philly roster. Almost every starter on defense was a Howie Roseman draft pick. There were 2 DT’s selected in consecutive years and two rookie CB’s both who had strong games. The best player on the field was Josh Sweat - a former 4th round draft pick. Meanwhile, in the same time Buffalo drafted high round busts like Kaiir Elam and Boogie Basham who were frequent healthy scratches, average talent like AJ Epinesa, and a good but not great pass rusher in Greg Rosseau. Then you have rotational players like AJ Epinesa, DeWayne Carter, and Javon Solomon. The difference between the Buffalo and Philly defense was getting much better return on the draft capital spent on defense. 3 4 Quote

Just like the Giants against Brady, never let the Qb set and get comfortable…I don’t care what we have to do, our Dline must be overhauled again and we can’t afford to get it wrong this time. That Eagle D-line with just sending 4 was making that usually stout middle 3 of KC look really human. Some good stunts too that had guys lined up wide looping up the middle giving Mahomes no where to step up into. Basically, they had game wreckers up front and were able to keep plenty of capable guys back in zone. It was the kind of D I have heard that McD always favored, but lordy this team has struggled finding and grooming the D-line talent to pull it off. The Eagles did a good job avoiding rubs and not getting fooled by motion. KC had 3 weeks to prep for us, but not the same luxury vs the Eagles and it showed. The Eagles seemed to know what they were running too with every gadget they through at them. Not sure how we would have faired against this Eagles team, they were stacked on both sides and have a team that was peaking at just the right time. Tough to get a roster to that point without some holes. Heck even their ST and kicker was nailing it... No tears over KC looking silly and getting crushed. Wished they would have panned over to T-Swift crying in her VIP box with the usual suspects. I have had to suffer through so many times they panned over to her after games we lost with her absolutely giddy as my Bills exit games on the wrong end. Would be a bit of Karmic justice. Petty I know, but I am ok with that. 2 1 Quote

Both players have maybe a combined 4 career games where they played at an elite level IMO 2 Quote
Old Coot Posted February 10 Posted February 10 Josh is a better QB than Hurts but it was maddening to see Hurts drop those dime on fades and on the long TD pass. Josh has trouble litting those looping throws. If I know it then NFL DCs know it, too and they'll scheme to take advantage of that. 2 1 Quote

The problem is they just continually miss at finding those “dawgs” so it’s back to cheap veterans and draft picks who never develop. 4 minutes ago, Old Coot said: Josh is a better QB than Hurts but it was maddening to see Hurts drop those dime on fades and on the long TD pass. It helps when the receivers like Diggs or Kincaid actually make catches when you need them to 1 Quote

Mixture of bad BUF coaching and game plan, poor Monday and below average dline. If this doesn’t show Beane we need a Myles Garrett + improved cb and s, not sure what will part of this is our style of D; plus Benford getting hurt. Phl has much better man CBs than us so Mahomes receivers too time getting open & by the the Eagles' 4 man rush had him running for his life. 5 minutes ago, JohnNord said: It helps when the receivers like Diggs or Kincaid actually make catches when you need them to True but I wish Josh would work on perfecting his craft so it doesn't come down to one crucial play. 1 Quote

That interior 3 was stout because of Thunny-Humphrey-Smith. They haven’t been stout since they moved Thunny out to LT. Doing that compromised the entire oline and it showed tonight against a great DLine. 2 Quote

Awwufelloff Posted February 10 Posted February 10 Lets not forgot how the Bucs beat the Chiefs in Superbowl. The Bucs front 4 dominated that game as well. We've already beaten the Chiefs, they're not even that good. The Ravens were a better team this year. I don't think Mcdermott gets us there, always said that and will believe it until it happens.
