Jets don't want Rodgers back

I could see this as a legit landing spot... as the Steelers try to push out the inevitable drafting of a new QB... might work, but this is the most toxic I can ever remember seeing the Steelers...  I am not sure the addition of Rodgers is going help that situation...

Kinda hoping this is the scenario and they reach for a QB like Sanders, who I dont feel is going to be great... this would set them back pretty good if he flopped...  I do think unless they bring back a Darnold or a Cousins... (if he is available) that Tyrod is going to figure in somewhere... the other one I can think of is them taking a flyer on Justin Fields...

I can't see the Jets trading Wilson. He is one of their best players. If they did trade him there is no way in hell they are trading him to the Bills. I doubt they want to see Allen and Wilson torching them twice a year.

But if I am Pittsburgh I’m letting this roster get one more shot before I gut it for 2026 draft capital so that they can move up and get a QB. If I’m Pittsburgh I’d trade TJ Watt for a million picks to get a QB.

I think that’s a decent strategy. You can’t win without a QB. That Pitsburgh roster is pretty good but has some holes. If you plugged pretty good QB play in, they are a contender. Rodgers can’t be the long play but he could give you a 2 year window if he plays at the level that he did this year. He isn’t Josh Allen but he isn’t Russell Wilson either.

Rodgers has the same problem as Russell though. They both refuse to play outside their comfort zone and conform to the team.
 

Russ developed bad habits after he won a ring. Rodgers developed bad habits far earlier and was notorious for clashing with LaFleur. 
 

On paper it sounds nice, but Rodgers will be blaming Pickens for not hearing his tenth check at the line with 1 second left on the play clock by week 3.

 

I would roll the dice with a Darnold over Rodgers and blow it all up if it doesn’t work.

Titans or Raiders? Why even bother. He would be better off going to an NFC South team where you can win 6 games and still win the division.

The AFCN is one tough division with Burrow, Jackson as QB's who at this point are better than him. The Ravens and Bengals are better than the Steelers.

They drafted Jordan Travis from Florida St last year but he got hurt and missed the season. He will be back this year. My guess is if they don't go with Tyrod then they will sign a vet QB to be the starter for the next year or two while they draft another QB and see what Jordan Travis can do.

I think the NFC South is going to be a gauntlet next season. Baker has been great down there and Penix looked like he belonged at the end of the season. Young was playing well in Carolina too. I wouldn't be surprised to see that as the most competitive division in football

Rodger’s is not anywhere near done. It’s just the Jets effect. Sam Darnold is living proof along w/ Geno. I am really curious how the MILF hunter would look with a competent roster and run game.
