Wacka Posted yesterday at 07:42 PM Posted yesterday at 07:42 PM I said back when they signed him that the Jets is the place where careers go to die. 1 Quote

If this is true, you would replace Josh Allen with Aaron Rodgers in a heartbeat. Fortunately for the sanity of the Universe it is not true. Quote
Mike in Horseheads Posted yesterday at 07:57 PM Posted yesterday at 07:57 PM NY Post... By cutting him, the Jets will incur a $49 million dead money charge this season, unless they designated it as a post-June 1 cut. If they go the post-June 1 route, they can spread the hit over two years — $14 million in 2025 and $35 million in 2026. Glenn and Mougey may just want to eat all of the money in Year 1 of their time with the Jets. The Rodgers move is the first big one of the Jets offseason. It also makes a release of wide receiver Davante Adams and his $35.6 million salary likely. The Jets traded for Adams in October to reunite him with Rodgers. It is hard to see any future Adams has, or would want, with the Jets without Rodgers. Quote

He’s an idiot but Tomlin has been able to check idiots. He could give them a 1-2 year window to compete. I wouldn't say he was "pretty good" at all. He had decent stats, but so did Russ his last year in Denver, but he was even more successful than Rodgers. Despite staying healthy, the team got WORSE with Rodger (and later Davante Adams) than they were with Wilson & Co. If he goes to Pittsburgh, expect another average year & WC round loss. The Steelers will be treading water like the Colts were a couple years ago, bouncing from Rivers to Wentz to Ryan (or whatever order they were in). Quote

He certainly had some good moments and flashes of his former greatness and he can still spin it, but his glaring lack of the mobility he once had was evident. I doubt he’s ever gonna regain that at this stage. He should just hang them up. 1 Quote
Ridgewaycynic2013 Posted yesterday at 08:14 PM Posted yesterday at 08:14 PM Guddam Jests stealing our 'Smiley fired' thunder. 🤬 * Anyone else the Bills can 'part ways' with? 🤔 Quote
wppete Posted yesterday at 08:16 PM Posted yesterday at 08:16 PM What about the Raiders? I can see that happen on a one year deal if they draft a QB in the first round that sits and learns. Otherwise retirement. Quote

GETTOTHE50 Posted yesterday at 08:26 PM Posted yesterday at 08:26 PM The jets are going to be horrendously terrible the next 3 years. Their incompetence has no bounds. Quote

sven233 Posted yesterday at 08:39 PM Posted yesterday at 08:39 PM Man, if the Jets are going to blow it up, I want to know what it would take to get Garrett Wilson. We need 2 WRs that are explosive and can win on their own. He can absolutely fill one of those spots. Young and talented. Then, use FA or the draft to find the other one. Quote

The fact that he was #30 in yards per attempt (Allen was #9) shows he had a mediocre season at best. To be clear, I’m not saying that he was an all-pro or anything. It was more that he was top 15ish. If he goes to the Steelers, that’s an upgrade. Quote

Doc Brown Posted yesterday at 09:10 PM Posted yesterday at 09:10 PM It may not be his fault but this news dropping on the day of the Super Bowl is so Aaron Rodgers. 2 Quote

The first time he shrugs his shoulders at Tomlin that is a tinder box waiting to go off. 44 minutes ago, Doc Brown said: He could do the funniest thing ever.
