Bangarang Posted February 9 Posted February 9 Underwhelming but that job was never going to be a desirable one. 2 Quote
frostbitmic Posted February 9 Posted February 9 Smart move because it keeps Brady here for another year plus it just makes sense for your HC to be an Offense guy so your QB isn't going through a new co-ordinator every couple of years. 1 Quote

Plus I think he and Carr know each other. They played against each other in college! Which is pretty funny. Quote

MiltonWaddams Posted February 9 Posted February 9 I just don’t think he’s very special as an offensive coordinator. Generally, when you’re head coach material, you’ve been exceptional as a coordinator. He had high expectations at every stop, but wasn’t really exceptional in Dallas, Los Angeles, or in Philadelphia. He has exceptional players in Philadelphia, but I don’t think they’re succeeding because of him. Quote
Sweats Posted February 9 Posted February 9 That's a good hire for NO's and honestly, i don't know what other direction they could have possibly gone other than this.......he may not be able to right that ship, but he'll give them a better chance to be competitive. 1 Quote

TBBills Fan Posted February 9 Posted February 9 What's the record for OCs who get head coaching gigs right before the SB I remember being sad when Marchibroda left 1 Quote
BuffaloBillyG Posted February 9 Posted February 9 Smart move for Moore. He gets likely a 4-5 year guaranteed contract that makes him way more then he probably would have made. He never has to take a job he doesn't really want again. If he somehow stumbles into fixing the Saints, he makes even more. If not he'll have a few years of pay he doesn't have to work for. Being a HC also opens other avenues for coaches. Let's say he gets fired in 2 years...he could go the college HC route, the offensive advisor path or even one of the many Sunday morning pregame shows. If a dolt of a personality like Jason Garrett can land one...any former HC should be able to. He's been passed over many times before for various reasons and this may have been his final realistic shot IMO 3 Quote
