I guess Brad Johnson and Trent dilfer are objectively better than Josh, Dan Marino and Jim Kelly 1 Quote
Sojourner Posted 22 hours ago Posted 22 hours ago The fact that there’s a thread for Fitz being in Canton and another that essentially questions whether Allen is qualified right now is mind boggling lol 1 1 Quote

He won 3 consecutive MVPs and went to back to back Super Bowls win in one of them. 1 Quote
Ed_Formerly_of_Roch Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago Johnny Unitas was certainly one of the best QB's of his time, but to see him at #1 makes me have to question if the criteria has changed a lot since then?? The rest of the names a the top are what I'd call more modern day QB's. Quote
Wizard Posted 21 hours ago Author Posted 21 hours ago Ed_Formerly_of_Roch, I am not implying that Unitas is #1. He is one of 11 QB's that I put (in no particular order) above Allen's career as of right now. I believe Allen will be ranked higher than Unitas, Favre, and several more when he is all said and done Quote

If Allen played then he would be in the GOAT convo. 2 hours ago, NewEra said: Disagree- IS he the better QB? Yes- I agree, Allen is better than Favre— but accolades matter. Lombardis matter more than any of the accolades when it comes to QBs. Can’t put Allen ahead of Favre until he, at least, leads his team to a Super Bowl imo Agreed. Warner was amazing and, at his best, might even be top 10 in my book. This isn’t a list though of most accolades, it’s who was the better QB. And Allen, as you said, is a better player than Favre. He must take another step mentally and be more cerebral about the game. I agree. Been saying it for about three years now. He made some big strides this season, and I'm hoping for another jump in 2025. 1 1 Quote

But they’ll never be regarded as better because accolades certainly do matter. Who’s better, Mahomes or Allen? I think Allen is. I’m sure you do to. But that’s not what matters most. Showing that you can get the job done matters. Quote

Now we saw some tosses like that this year and they were beautiful. That has to be more of the norm going forward. Quote

Give the guy more to work with! It feels good to say this, and ability-wise, I believe it. The kid needs super bowls though… plain and simple. 1 Quote
