sven233 Posted February 8 Posted February 8 (edited) We host a Super Bowl Party every year. We do ribs, a couple different kind of wings, pizza logs, shrimp, stromboli, and whatever our guests bring. Quite honestly, the best part of the Super Bowl is the food for us, especially over the last few years with the Chiefs in it. This year, we have had people that have come every year over the last 2 decades since we started hosting decide that they aren't coming this year because they just don't want to watch the game. And we completely get it. This is probably the worst possible Super Bowl matchup we could have gotten. Awful teams that nobody wants to root for and 2 of the most arrogant and toxic fan bases in the league (although Ravens fans are trying to get themselves into this mix as well). There is literally nothing redeeming about anything associated with the game itself. Edited February 8 by sven233 4 1 Quote
90sBills Posted February 8 Posted February 8 Not going to any parties so will be watching at home. I’ll be having pizza from a local spot and making home made pico de gallo with lots of beers. 2 Quote

That’s awesome, I thought you were going to say the halftime show or the commercials, or about 8,000 other things….and then maybe the Chiefs and Eagles. 2 1 Quote

Sojourner Posted February 8 Posted February 8 Will be in Jamestown at a co-workers party this year but he asked for some help as he’s got between 30 and 40 people coming for his first hosting. Bringing wings, beef dogs and zinger fries got a few others bringing stuff but he’s from Mexico originally so they’re doing a whole buffet of things traditional: tamales, enchiladas, Carnitas and elote. Therell be others that they make on top of others bringing. Should be great eating! Hope everyone’s parties they’re hosting or attending are a success! 3 Quote

The flavour of these chickens is awesome!!! Soaked, boiled, soaked, boiled and soaked again Salted Fish that is also in the fridge. Going to make Fritters or Salt Fish & Ackee. The price of goat was twice that which I pay for in Canada so I gave it a pass. Same with the oxtail. Going to the fisherman dock in Negrill tomorrow morning to see if I can score some fresh Red Snapper, Tuna and Conch. Finished two 24 cases of Red Stripe and got three more yesterday. This rum is 55% so laid off of it until yesterday. Ting is really cheap. I am here until the 18th. Edited February 10 by HIT BY SPIKES 1 4 Quote
