A checkbox checked off. Now let’s get that SB.

Hoping this allows the offense to play even looser next year and with a lot of confidence considering they are probably running it back with 95% of the same people.

If I was a neutral party it would not be an easy choice.  I pry would've split the baby (Lamar 1st team all pro, Josh MVP) like some voters did.

Depends on how hung up the voter is on mvp = a stats award imo.  If it was truly most valuable I think Lamar kinda got sunk by an absolute monster season from Derrick Henry

This is a fact, not trying to stoke anything -- there's been a lot of discussion about potential racial bias.

My quick research shows that 70% of non-Caucasian voters voted Jackson.

So, there might be something to it, or it might be a coincidence.

I did a quick glance over the results and it seemed close enough where there wasn’t huge bias IMO. Only a difference of a couple voters between the two.

Bro that vid just wrecked me, not ashamed to say it. My goodness, talk about getting perspective…and you know Josh spends his time and $$ at the hospital out of the goodness of his heart and not for the PR…he could’ve insisted the hospital wing be named after himself but instead it’s his grandma—I mean c’mon, this guy is the real deal on and off the field. 🥹

yeah, my allergies were brutal while watching that; especially since becoming a dad. I’m guessing it’s what Josh watched that he’s referencing here:

That definitely hurt his case.  Lamar is a great QB but I always found it odd that whenever they lost the criticism was they abandoned their run game.

Pry too small a sample size.  It sucks that race is even brought up.

Soooo happy for him!

And the team and the fans!

I truly could not go the whole off-season with my last image of Josh taking that deep breath before he answered questions after the loss.

Pumped he won and glad people outside of the organization recognize what a special player he is.

A great night to be an Allen:

Josh   MVP

Jared   HOF

Eric     HOF

It was funny when they showed Eric Allen when they announced Sterling Sharpe 😆

I can't believe he did it, by 20 votes! What a night for Allen. This means a lot to NFL players, he deserved this so much. So excited for next year!

By 20 votes? He won by 4.

Lamar Jackson earned it, too. He's not gonna have a statistical season like that again. The reason why Lamar didn't get it:

- With all the pro bowlers on the Ravens, and they're still below the Bills and Chiefs (record wise).

That's all why Lamar didn't get the MVP.

Our guy, Josh Allen, had a spectacular season as well. He didn't have much to work with and still lead us to number 2 seed in the AFC. The writers, before the season started, had us barely getting into the playoffs.

Good for Josh. All the MVP arguing on Twitter has been insane and really it doesn't matter all that much, both Josh and Lamar would rather be preparing to play one more game.

But when the career is over and the dust settles, an MVP is something people look at as part of the overall package when assessing HOF and legacy, so in that respect I'm glad he has one because if he retired with no silverware at all you know people would use that as a stick to beat him with. Now he just needs the most important silverware, a Super Bowl trophy followed by a Super Bowl MVP trophy. Then he can wait a few years and collect his gold jacket.

I mean he's going to the HOF anyway but his speech will be all the more special with at least one winner's ring on his hand
