This will lower gas prices

And food prices.  Great for the farmers in the midwest who are struggling right now.

Gas prices are once again inching up across the country, delivering a fresh blow to American drivers already shouldering higher price tags for new and used cars, rising maintenance and repair costs, and skyrocketing insurance premiums.

Climbing oil prices are partially driving this increase, as recent sanctions imposed by President Donald Trump raised concerns over Russian and Iranian supplies and uncertainty continues in the Middle East as the fragile Israel-Hamas ceasefire starts showing signs of collapsing.

The unexpected boost in inflation could dampen some of the business enthusiasm that arose after Trump’s election on promises to reduce regulation and cut taxes. Dow futures tumbled 400 points and all major markets are likely to sell off at the opening bell. Bond yields rose, a sign traders expect inflation and interest rates to remain high.

Meanwhile, Trump is golfing and concerned about MAGA-ZA and the Gulf of "America."  Great stuff.

Remember that inflation was transitory for the past four years.

The past three weeks?

Buuuurrrrnnnn him!

But he said he was going to fix it on day one.  And he blamed the inflation on Biden.  "BIDEN INFLATION UP!," I believe he said.  Now it's "TRUMP INFLATION UP!"  So fix it.  We're past day one.

Everyone should be aware that the CPI number released today was a January number.

Crude oil was over $79/barrel the day before the Inauguration.

As of this moment, $72.09.

“It will be ok. Biden will look all the better for the economic improvement by 2024. Good to get the bumps in the road out of the way early. That Joe has good timing! “

Who sets gas prices?

That thread is full of gold.

This thread will reflect their ridiculous hypocrisy.

Biden was in office for 2 years when those developments began to unravel - they blamed everyone from Putin to Trump!

Never forget.  They lie.  And then try to rewrite history.

Trump said he would fix it on day one.  It--the economy--is getting worse.  So which one is it--Trump isn't doing his job, or he lied about his ability to do his job?

Is it your contention that the funds politico received for politico pro are somehow kept separate? The financial prospects of the “news” side and the “pro” side are not intertwined?

It’s a tool used for policy analysis, nothing more. Or would you prefer government employees be less educated and efficient at their jobs?

It's only been 3 weeks doesn't fly with this.  Businesses and the stock market operate by the future.  trumps track record started in early November.  We're 3 months in folks.  Is the concept of a plan still cheap oil and that's it?  Anyone else heard any other concepts of plans?  Didn't Biden have a lot of oil?  Then why did we have inflation?  Good thing plastic straws are cheaper than paper ones.

You didn’t remotely address the question I posed. Why not?

I’m fine with useful subscriptions. I suspect the number of subscriptions and the dollar amount may have been on the high side.

Because it’s a stupid question. I doubt you actually know what one of these subscriptions costs because you’re not in an industry that needs it.

Are you sure?

Just to revisit my original question that you don’t like - do you believe the financial fortunes of Politico Pro and Politico to be intertwined or not? It’s not a hard question.
