FitzShowUsYourTitz Posted February 6 Posted February 6 Below is the 2025 Patriots coaching staff. Personally I feel like they will be very competitive in 2026 and 2027 Loads of cap space for free agents, picking 4th in every round this year and an Excellent IMHO head coach - Whom I hate for his OBVIOUS music city ‘miracle’ kickoff lateral a few years back in TN. And now they have both Josh (I’ve learned how to cheat from the best) Daniels along with Everyone’s Fav Saint Doug. The rivalry is (soon to be) back. Should be better than the Jests and likely better than the Phins before long. Bring it Patsies! The 2025 Patriots coaching staff: Mike Vrabel: Head Coach Josh McDaniels: Offensive Coordinator Thomas Brown: Tight Ends/Passing Game Coordinator Doug Marrone: Offensive Line Jason Houghtaling: Assistant Offensive Line Robert Kugler: Assistant Offensive Line Todd Downing: Wide Receivers Tony Dews: Running Backs Ashton Grant: Quarterbacks Riley Larkin: Offensive Assistant Chuckie Keeton: Offensive Assistant What you think? 1 Quote

Success Posted February 6 Posted February 6 Not seeing it. They have very little talent. Could Maye be a good QB? Sure - but he could easily be pretty middlin'. 1 Quote
uticaclub Posted February 6 Posted February 6 Depends if they hit of free agents and their draft class 1 Quote
Richard Noggin Posted February 6 Posted February 6 No one going to point out a certain name on that list? No wonder they have two OL assistants... 2 Quote
Jauronimo Posted February 6 Posted February 6 McDaniels has done nothing but wear out his welcome with every QB not named Brady. 4 Quote

Mack Jones only good year was with him as a rookie. Same goes for Matt Cassel in that 11-5 season after Brady suffered that injury in the first game in 2008. We'll see what he can do with Drake Maye but I wish they hired someone else. I think he's going to fall in that bucket of bad head coach but decent coordinator. I think long term this will be the best competition in our division. 2 2 Quote

Sweats Posted February 6 Posted February 6 I think the Pats will make strides and may even challenge us for the division, however, it won't be for a few more years yet and i don't care how good of a draft they have this season........i really don't see too many impact players that will be coming out without some major development, so our AFCEast crown is safe for awhile. 1 Quote

Drake Maye actually looked very accurate, decisive, and athletic during the first Bills matchup. Seemed like he got the ball out very fast and took off running at the perfect time. Maybe the fans will, but the Bill’s coaching staff certainly won’t underestimate him. I think he’s 10 times the prospect that Mac Jones was and certainly has the capability to supplant Tua as the 2nd best AFCE starting QB. His rookie season reminded of a lot of Allen’s. Just didn’t flash the occasional other-worldly talented run or thrown that only JA, Mahomes, or LJ could. Still it doesn’t take away from the fact that he is very physically gifted player. His stats weren’t amazing, but still threw more TDs than picks, had a 66.6 completion %, and another 421 on the ground. I think he can become a decent game manager through the air along w/ the legs to break off big time runs. His ceiling is a prime Russell Wilson, but I think he will turn out to be more of a Baker Mayfield type w/ better rushing ability. Drake Maye is a dude who can get you to the dance as long as you give him some good weapons to work with. If the Pats were smart, they would build a good rushing team around him, and lean more on his dual threat ability while he continues to develop as a passer. 1 Quote

He made a scumbag move, actually several as a coach of the Texans. Additionally and I thought more people were aware but the Patsies are projected to have the most cap space in the NFL, with $131MM. They can sign most any free agents they want. That’s one big reason for my concern… Good coach A tom of $$$ to spend And thankfully the #4 pick in each round vs #1 b/c of us All Im saying is 2026-2027 is they have a TON of potential Edited February 6 by FitzShowUsYourTitz Quote

Terrible in Denver and Las Vegas running his own show and calling plays. Terrible OC in St. Louis running the offense for a defensive head coach in Steve Spagnuolo. He was hired to help the reigning 2010 AP Offensive Rookie of the Year take a leap forward. Sam Bradford was on pace to put up BY FAR the worst season of his career before it was cut short due to injury after 10 games. Sam Bradford (2011) 53.5% Completion 216 Yards/Game 1.7% TD 1.7% INT Sam Bradford (Career) 62.5% Completion 234.3 Yards/Game 3.5% TD 2.1% INT He's been nothing but atrocious when he's not working under Belichick. GunnerBill Posted February 6 Posted February 6 What does Mike Vrabel have to do with the Music City Miracle? And Josh Daniels? Who he? 1 1 Quote

Vrabel attempted a Music City Miracle homage against us in a primetime game a few years back. Honestly this Patriots coaching staff is solid. If they hit on some FAs the could easily tighten the division. Should take a game or two apiece from the Dolphins/Jets each. I think next year they are more of a threat to the Dolphins for 2nd place than us. Quote

When Maye was drafted, i wanted him to go anywhere but the AFCEast. If he can figure it all out and learn how to turn it on, he's going to be a handful for AFC teams. I think he's a little ways out yet, but he does have the potential to be a legit threat and regardless of what people say, he's not a Mac and Cheese 2.0........he's got way more tools in his belt.
