msw2112 Posted 13 hours ago Posted 13 hours ago I'm not a big fan of the international games (even though I attended the Bills-Jags game in London), but I think that if every team in the league had to play in one international game per year, and it resulted in all teams having 8 home games, 8 road games, and 1 international game, with a bye week following the international game, then it least it would be fair. Obviously, traveling to Australia is much worse than traveling to Mexico City, time zone/jet lag wise, but the bye week following will help and if the teams rotate the longer distances every season and distance/time zone changes are taken into account, it would still be fair. So the bottom line is that it sucks, but if they're going to do it anyway, they may as well do it in a fair and smart way. Right now, it unfairly favors the teams that don't have to make the trip in a given season. Quote

GolfandBills Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago It’s coming to every NFL city. The NFL will be gone before we know it. The International Football League is on the horizon. Quote
17islongenough Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago Keep it at 17 games. Then have 16 neutral games. So every team has one. That game should be afc vs nfc. The "home" team switches every year. Since you have a games that are far away you need 2 bye weeks. If you go to Australia you get a bye before and after. Get rid of one of the pre season games. Yeah I know owners will hate this. Goodell does not care about fair so this would never happen. Quote

That should be their 1 game out of the country that counts toward their over seas game they would pack the stadium in Toronto for sure . It would be like a home game but what Roger wants to accomplish . 1 Quote
Thrivefourfive Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago NFL should stop ruining the world. How about that. I can’t believe Euros even want this crap. Brazil I get,,, they need the money. Go Bills! Quote
Peter Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago FWIW - I have seen the Bills play in London twice and had a great time (except for the results of the game). If the Bills do end up playing overseas again, I just hope that Bills travel earlier to acclimate to the time difference. 1 Quote

But the Bills don't seem to have any interest in actively cultivating a fan base in certain countries like some teams do. Gotta' get Poland before da Bears. Quote

From the ridiculous rule changes, the penalties, blatant favoritism to certain franchises ie spygate & refgate, and the total pussification of the league as a whole. Oh yeah, and how can I forgot aligning w/ the gambling companies? He took a game that I loved as a toddler rocking my Bills pajamas in my very first pictures and destroyed it. I lived & died with the Bills every single Sunday. I cherished the losses just as much as the wins because it brought the fans together. The total magic of the Doug Flutie run. The aura & swagger of the early 90s squad. These men helped me make it through a very difficult childhood along w/ my dog Buddy. I don’t mean to get sentimental, but It was once truly magical to be a fan. It wasn’t just a game to me growing up in Rochester. People took it very seriously. There’s no more mystique anymore. Thank God for Josh Allen who lays it all out on the line, but part of me thinks the NFL doesn’t want him to win. Quote

The game has gone astray and the officiating and commercial marketing has destroyed what last bit of credibility they had. I used to be a Bills fan first, but also, an NFL fan. Goodell has ruined that for me. I love the Bills but have very little interest in the rest of the league. I despise the man. Quote

PonyBoy Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago 3 thoughts here: 1. Why not just fly the couple thousand fans from Australia who actually give a crap about the NFL to one of the NFL cities to watch a game? 2. Because I'm a man of a certain age & don't remember the final scores or key moments watching old Bills/ NFL games on You Tube is seeming like a much more enjoyable option as the league continues to alienate its true fans due to corrupt greed. 3. Remember when gambling on games was basically just the spread and the score? It's crazy how many ways you can bet on games now! The worst being betting on outcomes or stats once the game has already started. Quote

Ed_Formerly_of_Roch Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago Once a year sounds too high, maybe every other year or two out of three years. Think it won't happen till they go to 18 games and add a second bye. That would make it easier. Two team every year report to camp a week early to play in the HOF game. They could add two more teams to report a week early and have those two teams face off someplace on Labor day weekend, then give them the next week off?? Quote
Donuts and Doritos Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago Take tax $ to build stadiums, then move games out of those stadiums to play overseas, hmm.... 🤔 Quote
