Don't forget, all this criminality, insanity and chaos will be front and center when Americans vote again. If the mid-terms happen or are not completely fouled up on purpose by the party in charge.

I imagine their is going to be a fight after the Dems seize control of House and maybe Senate and all the investigations begin.

Yes I'm looking forward to the Dems doubling down on the DEI.

I can't wait for the media to be forced to cover the story of the Democrats funding the creation of COVID 19 at Wuhan. Should really help put them back on top during the mid-terms.

After two years of Trump, the Democrats should do well in the midterms.  However, that might depend on the quality of their candidates.  If they continue down the insane road that they're on now, they're likely to underperform in 2026, just as the Republicans did in 2022, thanks to the terrible quality of Republican candidates that year.

Assuming the Democrats win back the House, they'll probably impeach Trump four or five more times before the end of his term just for the hell of it.

You were 100% wrong on EVERYTHING regarding the most recent election. That said, you seem sober and well-reasoned. I shall trust your analysis of the 2028 election cycle.

I called Trump's win on election night before the polls closed, so I got that right.

I'll disagree, I bet Dems run all sorts of queers, gays, bi, whatever, and win anyway. Most centrist people just don't give a sh it who you are doing

You are a rabid partisan. Why do you believe you know anything about centrists?

when a centrist sees a picture of Mayor Pete chest-feeding, do you think they are more likely to identify with him or less likely?

That isn't what the opposition to trans issues are about. They're about forcing that ideology on kids in schools, having 'trans' in the opposite bathrooms, trans women playing in women's sports and more.

True, but they do give sh it when you talk about it constantly and it seems to be your most important issue.

Doubtful, if the last election was any indication.

Extremely misleading.  The NIH is very broad, and I'd assume many republicans voted yes on that funding bill.

It wasn't NIH. It was USAID.

“Dr. Tabak,” asked Rep. Debbie Lesko (R-Ariz.) of the Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic, “did NIH fund gain-of-function research at the Wuhan Institute of Virology through [Manhattan-based nonprofit] EcoHealth [Alliance]?”

“It depends on your definition of gain-of-function research,” Tabak answered. “If you’re speaking about the generic term, yes, we did.”

Note: there's a bit of gotcha on the semantics here, as well.  Politicians are REAL good at that.

Yes, they're guilty. This is not something that Congress voted on to fund through NIH.

There were different grants from all over at that institute.  Some cover some things specifically, and others generally.  It's probably run just like Washington, where they rob Peter to pay Paul for projects.
