You know what’s crazy, is they should never be that high to begin with but if we made it to the SB, you know damn well those prices are moving towards double 3k…

I had a tennis buddy a little older than me, and he went to Tulane. He went to one of the first Super Bowls for like $3 because they were bored one day. My, how things have changed!

After Sunday, we’re without football for 7 months.

I’ll watch every minute of the Super Bowl with a heart full of hate.

NFL football.

FYI, if you have a Roku, under Live Channels is ESPN 8, The Ocho.  On Sunday evening, starting at 6pm, you can watch the Wisconsin Auctioneers Championship, then Jelle’s Marble Runs, followed by USA Mullet Championships and finish with the USA Climbing National Championship.

It's probably because the POTUS will be in town and there's gonna be restricted airspace over NOLA... It will be shut down.  If people can't get into town, tix prices will drop.

BigWigs with private Jets, forget about it.

I guess they can drive in:

Houston is 5 hours

Mobile 3.

Baton Rouge 1... But NOT sure what the restrictions will be there.

This.  There is a better chance of the blimp crashing through the Superdome roof than there is of the Chiefs not getting a game-changing call, so I'll root for the former.

Any finger gun TD celebrations will get you taken out by the Secret Service.

Must be a nightmare getting the President in there.

The First World Championship ticket prices were $12.

The Big Games wasn't titled Super Bowl until game 4. The "Super" in the title supposedly comes from lamar Hunt's child who was playing with a Super Ball: remember thise super bouncy rubber balls?

It was always called the Super Bowl. Here's the front page of the CE in 1967.  27336190_1604400546262265_5239142012194452102_n.thumb.jpg.c4178d959cbb1ee6863dcdf4fd25aada.jpg

I didn't want to mess up the attachment with more typing.  I remembered them calling the 1st one the Super Bowl & went to the Buffalo downtown library years ago to get the proof because the Bills played in the AFL championship game. The NFL didn't officially call it the Super Bowl until III but everyone else was always calling it the Super Bowl.  I printed this off the microfilm that the library had of all the back newspapers of the Courier Express.  I also have a photo from the 1st one where at halftime the band spelled out Super Bowl. 1024px-SuperBowl_I_-_Los_Angeles_Coliseu

I’m trying to boycott football this last week. I will vomit if is see Taylor, other than James.

Me, my gorge rises with every glaze of Mahomes. I don't mind anyone else receiving praise, but there's something about the prohibition of ever--ever!--criticizing that Kermit-voiced, fey, whining, graceless cretin and the equally strong imperative to deify him as All That Is Holy that makes me turn the channel whenever he's on the field. GAAAA!

(Seeing my counselor again Monday. 😔)

That doesn’t include the 40k in fees

I kid you not.  I went to a JMU vs. Ball State womens bball game today.  Tickets were $23 per.  I got two.  The friggin fees were $16 per ticket for tickets that were a $23 value.  I was stunned.

So, the bill for two $23 tickets came out to be $79.

Unreal.

Our fans tore down the goalposts after we lost?

I've heard stories of people lugging their own kegs into the Rockpile... now I believe them.

$23 a pop for a midmajor women's game is what got me.
