KingBoots8 Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago #30, #62, and #171. I’d consider a 4th rounder if we got another later rounder back. Not warm to the idea of trading Groot or Oliver, but we need someone on the DL to take over a game. Von was supposed to be that guy but injury and time are hrs to overcome Quote

He was a great pickup for the Bills, 43 sacks in 4 years, but only 5 of them in his last season here, which was his 30-year-old season. He went right off a cliff. Myles Garrett is heading into his 30-year-old season. Just sayin' But man if we got even 3 years of the Mario production in our current team, that could be SB material. And Garrett is better plus there were always questions about how much Mario loved football. it’s also a bigger version of when we got Cooper. It allows guys to shift down in their natural order (Groot becomes a number 2 DE, Oliver gets help) and makes the supporting cast better. Imagine if this years Bills had the Mario, Dareus, Kyle, Hughes d line that all had 10+ sacks. Quote
TheyCallMeAndy Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago My dude put out a video press release announcing his trade request, and put that font in bold. Legend. Quote

BuffaloBillyG Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago I would give up an uncomfortable amount to pull this off. 1 Quote
DapperCam Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago I’d bet it will cost 2025 Bills 1st and 2026 Bills 1st. We always pick at the end of the round it’s basically a second. Maybe they will take 2025 Bills 1st and 2025 Vikings 2nd. Quote

Not trying to hijack the thread to talk about the other two deals but I think this speaks to our failures. Were they good to great players? Absolutely. Did it pay off in terms of championships? No for likely the same reasons. When we over invest in a single player or positions as good af they might be, if they are limited by scheme or injury in any way, you have to have the dogs to compensate for that. Dumping a significant amount of resources into a single trade would bring a single return, and I don’t think it would be the wisest allocation of assets given the need for numerous great players. 1 Quote
SydneyBillsFan Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago The "all-in" on Von experience will have Beane thinking twice I reckon. 1 Quote

Do you have faith that we'll get "numerous great players" in the draft when we've failed to do so since 2018? Quote

I am convinced of that.... but, we did sign him to an LT deal... I feel like put a bigger guy next to him and a two way stud DE on his side... and he may be a ton more effective... I think its DaQuan Jones who is washed and that spot to be upgraded... that being said.. if you can move out Ed Oliver and not blow your cap up... I am totally with you on upgrading that spot... 1 Quote

I agree it is DaQuan Jones that is washed. Ed is capable of wrecking plays, but he rarely seems to get up for an entire game. 1 Quote

You saw it on Hard Knocks. But in order to start the process and make it more affordable for the acquiring team he had to initiate the process. Without his request for trade the Browns had all of the negotiating leverage when teams called. Now that it's known that he wants out the Browns lose a bit of leverage. And he's basically limited his market to the teams at the back of round 1(contenders). I doubt the value exceeds the 2 late firsts. Teams highly value their picks. The Bills have been the Vegas favorite to acquire Garrett in trade for months now so I suspect they will continue to be. 5 Quote

I admit it’s unlikely. It is a crap shoot. That said, as sure of a goldmine as Garret would be, it’s still one player. I think many of us are seeking the magic pill to try and find the recipe for success. Based off of how we’ve been beaten by KC, I think we are close, but def more than one player away. It’s a good discussion, I just don’t see a value in continuing to drop multiple assets into one guy who is already going to be 30 next season Quote
BuffaloBillyG Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago For all the drooling and talk there will be, the most likely outcome will be what it typically nis when a star player "requests a trade" publicly. Cleveland will not really entertain any offers. This is all an angle for Garrett to get a new contract from the Browns for max value. That's why Garrett went public. Cleveland is gonna end up making a huge offer and he will re-sign there. 1 Quote
T.E. Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago (edited) I hope we are not dumb enough to give up the farm for a DE that is in the back half of his prime and then pay him a huge salary that eats up a ton of cap space. Edited 7 hours ago by T.E. 1 Quote
