New England is such an interesting situation right now. Garrett said in an interview that he wants to go to a team with a bonafide QB. Not a game manager type of QB. A team that's a Super Bowl contender. NE has/is neither 1 minute ago, The Jokeman said: No but pretty sure he can mandate where he going or at least give the Browns a short list. He can just say he will refuse to consider a new contract with that new team and sink the trade deal. No one is going to trade multiple 1sts for a 2 year rental, and Cleveland wants to milk as many high picks out of this as they can. Quote

That is just something players say when they are trying to push their way out of their current situation. I could totally see Garrett being ok with going to New England because of 1. Money and 2. Vrabel. Those statements go right out the window when new contract talks start. Quote

Myles and Maxx are going to have a chat tonight and decide to join forces in Buffalo😈 thanks to the class of Josh Do it Beane. Draft a huge NT with the 1 pick we’d have left🤣 1 1 Quote

BADOLBILZ Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago 1 hour ago, DrDawkinstein said: Yeah, that is the best thing we have going for us in this race. The Pats pick too high to give up their 1st. Although Im not sure there is a player as good as Garrett at #4 this year. So who knows. I also wonder if the Browns would take the Pats 2025 2nd, 2026 1st, and 2026 2nd... There probably isn't a player like Garrett.......but 8 years of Garrett are gone. I don't think there has ever been a vet traded for a pick that high. So I think we have to write that possibility off. They also don't have the usual ability to offer value in a trade UP. The Browns pick ahead of them. As to trading those 2026 picks.......what a predicament THAT would be for the Pats to put that young QB in after a 4-13 season though. No pressure bro, but it's playoffs or bust and Josh Allen is in your division. Maye had some moments if you grade him on a curve. And I thought very highly of him entering the draft. But to my surprise he looked more like a young Mitchell Trubisky than a player in the category of Daniels or Bo Nix who you might feel comfortable going all in for. Just something missing. He dirted 2 passes on 4th down in week 17 against the Chargers like a post-concussed Trent Edwards. I think you want to hold onto them picks JUST IN CASE he isn't that guy and you are picking top 10 again in an Arch Manning draft. It just isn't the way you re-build from 4-13. Quote
