If they trade Rousseau to get him, if rather trade the inside player like Oliver.

Regardless, if they do trade Rousseau to get Garrett, they need an opposite pass rusher similar to be Bennett opposite Bruce

I am luke warm on Rousseau, but I do wonder what putting a player like Garrett or Crosby opposite him does to his production.

Does Dallas want him back on a gigantic contract is the question.

what’s the price tag? Anyone have an idea? Two 1st rounders?

I'd be good with that.  Look at what we've gotten out of the past few 1st round picks.

Please, for the love of God, don't let this golden opportunity pass you by. ''Miles Garrett no matter what''.

Yes. Get it done. No excuses

Never underestimate the stupidity...or giant ego...of Jerry Jones.

Not so sure about that, I do not think they trade him in Division, I think in conference is really eliminating a lot of offers and handicapping yourself on the trade market...  besides, Cleveland is not likely to be good until Garrett is in his 30s ...

They won’t eliminate AFC offers - outside of the AFCN, as you mention. They’ll just send him to the NFC if the compensation is close. And they’ll give the NFC teams every chance to do that.

One outside AFC option that I’d worry about is New England. I don’t think Garrett would approve that due to how bad they’ve been, but Vrabel just spent last season working with the Browns. I don’t know what their relationship is or what Garrett thinks of their upside with Vrabel at HC and Maye at QB.

Money/cap space.  Other teams have more of it.

His deal is 20m a year for next two years. Bills can pay that. It’s a trade so unless they’re giving him an extension which would lower his cap hit at the beginning, other teams amount of cap space doesn’t matter. It’s if they’re willing to pay what the Browns want in return which could be picks or players.

Get er done, Beane!!!

I think he’s just messing with us. He stumbled on TBD and thought he’d get a kick out of messing with our crazy fanbase!

It’s gonna work.

Well I expect this to dominate the conversation for the next couple months. And I get it. Personally though I would invest in rebuilding the secondary before I would trade the farm for Garrett. Mahomes had an average time to throw of like 2.2 seconds in the AFCCG, only 1.77 seconds against man (if I'm remembering correctly). I don't care if Bruce Smith is rushing opposite of Reggie White, you aren't getting to the QB that fast. A player like Garrett would certainly raise our regular season ceiling and maybe put us in contention for the #1 seed so from that perspective I would understand it. I just don't think it's the move that will get us past the Chiefs in the playoffs. We need 3/4 of our secondary fixed and we need a downfield passing game. That would be my focus this offseason.

I tend to agree here. It’s not that I don’t want Garrett. I very badly do.

But…

To your point I think getting a bigger NT type at DT, upgrading Hamlin and Douglas, plus a real outside receiver are collectively bigger needs. The cost for Garret seems like it will cost us most of those things and I’m not sure he closes the gap of upgrading all those positions.
