I'm not going to say too much about Cook and get Patrick Moran'd for it. But that aside he has to come off the field on 3rd downs. I appreciate the work he's done becoming a better runner but he's not 8 figure aav extension worthy at this point, IMO. Benford finished the last two playoff games in street clothes. I don't have faith in him. 1 Quote

We still would have a 2nd and 3rd, along with a lot of day 3 picks. One thing I don't agree with is trading Rousseau. That's really dumb imo as he still hasn't even reached his potential and is really really good. That's 2 steps forward and 1 step back. The whole point of getting Garrett is to also combine him with Rousseau on the left. He's much more dangerous rushing from the left. Garrett and Rousseau is a potential all time pass rush I want Rousseau extended with Garrett for the next half decade Has he, though? I think he is a good player and I think what you have seen from him this season will be his max potential. He's going into year 5. You reach your potential long before that. He isn't THAT great Edited 5 hours ago by Buffalo03 Quote

He isn't THAT great Meh, he was roughhhhhh coming out of college. I cant remember exactly what it is, but theres something along the lines of he hadnt played organized football till 10th or 11th grade (again its foggy, but along those lines). Got to college had never played DE, may have played TE in HS. He was super tall and skinny, still plenty of room to pack muscle on that frame. Hes developing nicely and def dont think hes peaked physically or mentally with the game. I dont see a huuuuge leap coming; but feels like a player that could leap on his own, and also could have regular 10 sack seasons with somebody like Garrett or Crosby lined up at the other side. Is that worth paying for? Dunno. Would depend on his market, and how this year goes. Interesting and we will see! 1 Quote

We can give them a comp pick this year, a 1 and 2 this year, and a 1 next year pretty comfortably. If we get Myles, we almost certainly let Groot walk. We need to swap a vet or two at dt, that should be cap flat, we need a vet safety but that won't be expensive. We can extend Allen to create room, and have the Garrett contract balloon on the cap after Knox, Milano, and Vons deals are off the books. We will have room to extend cook (I figure 10-12 a year for 4 years w the last year being an out for us). That leaves us with a need at CB and wr. A draft picks on an outside guy might be enough at wr, unless you can trade and work the cap for DK or something, and CB will be some combo of picks and free agents. I think a Myles trade leaves room for a 10 or so context a year guy at CB or wr, but not both. That guy could be cooper if they love him and think it was his wrist that sunk him, or whoever. We have a lot of picks, so we either get a ton of bodies and see who the diamonds in the rough are, or package some to move up. Carter, Elam, kinkaid, and Coleman all have a ton of room to improve, and if Dorian takes one more step he's our best lb. The front office might just bank on that a little bit too. A front of Garrett Groot Oliver and whoever is an absolute nightmare and potentially only matched by our Williams, Williams, Darius, Hough's line which made a team coached by Doug Morron and with Kyle freaking Orton a winner. That's nasty work I am conflicted with my bolded 1st bolded ? Am strong about this. Letting go of Gregg nearly defeats the purpose of ADDing Garrett. Now to the second bolded specifically. Heck yes ! Find D jones replacement + and another one tech monster later in the draft and the dline might be solved 1 hour ago, jcamm1966 said: I think we are spooked due the Miller deal, if we could hit on our draft picks we would be fine. It's just not how the NFL generally operates wrt to star trades. And he's not a 4th year pro like Khalil Mack was when that trade went down(and Mack was considered on the same level having won NFLDPOY and already been twice 1st team All Pro so early in his career). Garrett is the best in the game but is also a high mileage 29 year old with seriously achin' feet by comparison. I'm not certain Groot would have to walk if they signed Garrett to an extension.....but it's certainly a possibility. I wouldn't extend James Cook, but I probably know more about his off-field shenanigans than most so I understand why some fans are higher on paying that 2 down RB real money than I. He'd have to be a 3 down back and have zero chance of suspension for me to even consider an extension and he isn't either of those. With that money not wasted, perhaps Groot could be kept. Just an insane RB class entering the league. More likely to hit on a Cook replacement than a Groot replacement(even though the DL group is good too). I don't really see extensions for any of that Benford, Bernard, Cook, Shakir group. But the Bills may. I'd like to see Beane use all those extra day 3 picks to try to fill those largely non-premium positions with replacements. If this thread exceeds 200 pages, this one will be hard to beat in terms of identifying guys who have not won us anything. While they have contributed, there’s only one player who is untouchable. If we don’t get Garrett, we need to use this draft to bring in another wave of players to compete, add depth, and possibly make some expendable. 3 Quote
CircleTheWagons99 Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago Bills need to try to "BUY" a superbowl this year. Trade for Miles and Kupp, re-sign Mack and Cooper. Go BIG or go home, the McD Process is not going to win the Bills a SB, try SOMETHING atleast. 1 Quote

One is a 1st ballot HOFer and, arguably, the best defensive player in football. The other is a pretty good starter that is 1 year from commanding a salary of $17.5M-$23M AAV. You should not pay that REGARDLESS of Garrett. It’s bad business to pay role players star money. Rosseau, a 1st & a 2nd is my initial offer to them. You go up from there. When you get a chance to get a superstar, at a position of need, AND of massive importance, it is a no brainer. 2 2 Quote
Allen2Moulds Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago Every so often, you get a disgruntled Superstar for 1 of 3 reasons. A. Money B. Doesn't feel his talents are being maximized C. Sick of losing Whenever it's C., and it's a truly elite player, at a position of need, we have to be willing to go hard after that player. Rousseau is a nice player, but let's be honest, he's better suited to excel as the number #2 DE in a scheme. and again, I'll repeat this for those balking at the potential price. 1. Elam 2. Rouseau 3. Kincaid 4. Coleman Last 4 drafts. Who here is untradeable? I could easily argue that combined, these 4 players aren't worth 1 Myles Garrett. 2 Quote

Well done all around Go Bills oh and get Garrett. Will shift the earth's axis in our favor 😉 4 Quote

jcamm1966 Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago That's what I'm saying, people treat these draft picks like gold, for us round one picks are a waste since Josh, I would trade all 2025 picks for Miles, we do better in UDFA than the accual draft. 8 minutes ago, Allen2Moulds said: I like you're thinking, but I would prefer Tee Higgins over Kupp. I know both have there injury risks, but Kupp is on the decline, and we already have Shakir.
