Trade 2 1st and AJ and call it a day.

Highly doubt Browns want to / can afford to take on salary

1st, 1st, *2nd that can become a 1st, 4th, 6th

That should get their attention.  We'll accept Denzel Ward as well 😎

Mike Florio had a somewhat genius idea if including Watson in a trade of Garrett and reducing the compensation for the contract.  Washington is about the only one who could afford it.

Garrett is great, but no one player is good enough to make a team take on that contract. My take is that the Browns won't trade him.

I agree it's highly unlikely.  Just a scenario that Florio mentioned.

“Two weeks ago, Browns defensive end Myles Garrett made known his desire to leave the Browns. The Browns reportedly won’t do it. Garrett apparently won’t abandon his desire to go to a contender.

The current odds at DraftKings have Garrett taking his next snap with a team that went farther than the Browns have gone since the late 1980s.

The Commanders are +300 favorites to land Garrett.

Next are the Eagles, at +450. His current team lands at 5-1.

The Bills are +550, and the Lions have +650 odds. The Bears come in at +900”

Imagine the eagles with him?? If he doesn’t come to us I hope he goes either to an NFC team or AFCW other than Chiefs.

The Eagles will add 14 void years and not skip a beat!

Until at some point I think there is a super nova type of event, I suppose.

Definitely an interesting thought.

If I were the browns though, I would just get as much draft capital as I can from the Garrett trade, and eat Watsons contract for the next 2 years.

Then after the two years if you hit on your premium draft capital, then you're making some noise

Good heavens, he can't go to the Eagles.  That is just not right haha.

I say give them both of our 2nds and next years first. Keep our first this year if we can.

There is a zero percent chance he is traded for so little.

I wouldn’t be so quick to say that that is very little. It’s tremendous value for a guy that aren’t winning with anyone. The NFC drastically overvalues draft picks. That’s a haul

2 late 2nd rounders, and a 1st the following year?  Which essentially equates to another late 2nd rounder.  Even if they end up with late first rounders, that's the difference of 30ish picks.  A world of difference in the players available.

I would quickly say that is very little value….because it is.

Name a non QB that’s been traded for more…guessing you won’t find many.  I wouldn’t call it “very little value” based on historical trade compensations.

Not really a good comparison because I don’t know when the last time an MVP caliber pass rusher in the prime of his career was traded.

The only guy that fits this scenario that I can think of is Charles Haley but it was more because he and Siefert didn't get along.

It doesn't happen because people arent going to give that much up for a non QB player and teams have little motivation to trade them for less as they are worth more to them as a player.
