Kirby Jackson Posted 22 hours ago Posted 22 hours ago 100% of Bills fans should support a Myles Garrett trade at its core. It isn’t, “should the Bills go after Myles Garrett?” That’s not up for debate. The question is, “what would you be willing to pay to get Garrett?” 2 8 1 Quote
TBBills Fan Posted 22 hours ago Posted 22 hours ago https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/reports-browns-still-will-not-entertain-trade-offers-for-myles-garrett It sounds like this is gonna be ugly. Dumb move by the Browns. The uglier it gets, usually the more cornered a team becomes. Browns gonna brown "Cleveland to Canton" hahah This is definitely going over 200 pages. Nothing is being done anytime soon Right now Cleveland has their phone on DND.. Who this? No the GM isn't here right now sorry 2 Quote

This happens to be a terrible offseason to have a big need at WR. But to me it remains by far the biggest need on the team and I can't stomach punting on it just because the market sucks. Beane had his chances in offseasons with better markets and failed to capitalize. Metcalf would absolutely my preferred option if Seattle wants to trade him. Definitely a better player and better fit than Higgins. Like I said I don't care about giving up draft picks for an elite player, I just don't want such a big investment to yet again be on the defense. I'm so over trying to make that side of the ball our path to a championship. I'm all in on shooting for a 40 PPG offense. If we do get Garrett I'll make myself excited about it and hope if nothing else he can close out a few more games to give us the #1 seed, but I'll worry that the season will yet again come down to the ball in Allen's hands against KC and yet again we won't have the horses to close the deal. I don't think Beane sees it that way in Brady's offense. I think he saw the Bills put up four TD's and a FG with the lack of defensive talent being the primary reason we lost. I think he goes all in on defense and will find a way to trade for a big name difference maker along with a lot of draft picks along the d-line and in the secondary. The most I see us doing at WR is maybe signing Cooper to a short term deal. 1 1 Quote

Von was great for LA in his 30s, and looked good for us at 32 until his ACL blew out on that crap turf in Detroit. Garrett has a few years left. He has 2 years left on current deal with no guaranteed money. I'd convert some 2025 salary to guaranteed to make him happy immediately, then work on a new deal this year. Extend his 1 year left to 3 in order to spread out the hits. Then he is still done with the Bills almost a full year before his 33rd bday. The DBs can be addressed with our mid/late picks where Beane shines. Just need another Benford from the 5th round, and a Safety to replace Rapp. Shouldnt be a problem for Beane. Hey I get Beane has had good luck with mid round picks, but you don't just find a Benford every year. Secondary still needs a serious overhaul. Benford is also very scheme specific you're probably looking at a Josh Norman situation if he were to leave. I'm willing to gamble though if you can pull off getting Garrett here. Quote
Kelly to Allen Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago 51 minutes ago, HappyDays said: Everything I've heard about this draft is that it's strong and deep on the DL. While the WR class is apparently the exact opposite. So to me it makes more sense to use our money on a big WR investment, and then they can go crazy drafting defense if that's what they want to do. We haven't made a big WR investment since 2020. It's time. I agree the secondary can be rebuilt without making major financial or draft investments because of the system we run. I don't us making two splash moves. It's either Garrett OR it's Higgins/Metcalf. I'm taking the second choice for sure. I don't have a problem if they get Higgins and then go all in on defense, and obviously the dline early in the draft. But getting Garrett for two 1s and change is very reasonable 1 Quote

Garrett is definitely the better player and the safer option. He also comes with a higher price to acquire. I think that they would love to have either but need to priorize Garrett first. 1 1 Quote

Yeah I'm even beyond getting past KC. I think a lot of fans can't see the forest for the trees because they are fixated on a SB. The Bills have a QB who is capable of running the greatest offense the NFL has ever seen. SB chances may come and go but this opportunity probably never comes around again. That's what I want to see. I don't get a ring or a trophy if they win a SB. I want maximum entertainment/enjoyment and I think a 38 ppg offense would get them to the top in the process of doing that. I got zero enjoyment out of that 2017 season where they broke the drought. I can't unsee that offense. That's not why I watch football. I want to see something great. That said, I do think Beane should be able to achieve all of the things they need this offseason. He's not a young, dumb GM anymore. It's time for him to grow up like Howie Roseman did when he got his second chance in Philly after Kelly got stripped of his authority. Start hitting some HR's in personnel. He has Allen, he has continuity in his front office and coaching staff and he is starting to get some maneuverability back wrt the cap. The rest of this job should be much easier than what's already in place. 5 1 Quote

Yes, we need a race horse. I like DK. We should’ve gotten him in the draft. Chase would be the last piece of the puzzle. Our D is adequate. Just need to get 2-3 punts and a 1-2 key turnovers, just like we did against Baltimore and KC. As good as our offense was, it could be unstoppable with DK, Chase, or fill in the blank … 1 Quote
