Whomp whomp

I would agree that four years ago very few people knew what USAID was really up to, including Tom Cotton.

So many surprises!

And many more to come.

Helping eradicate AIDS is a fine use of our money

I'm not mad, I'm absolutely delighted at what's going on with Trump/Musk.

Word is this is only the beginning of some massive stuff they'll be uncovering.

So if YOU aren't mad, and I'm loving life, I guess nobody's mad and all is well!

HIV will likely never be eradicated.  But since the arrival of protease inhibitors over 20 years ago, people with it can live a long life.

How do you think that research was funded?

So your position is, since USAID does some good, everything it does is good?

As usual the truth is somewhere between what both parties are selling you.  The rotting crops, unpaid farmers, and starving people are empirical evidence that the gasoline and match approach wasn't wise.

Of course not. If Elon executed his plan as a systemic and careful review of spending, followed by a public report and recommendation to Congress, I’d really have no issue with it.

His methods are unconstitutional, insipid nonsense designed to generate outrage. Why do you think Charlie Kirk and the like were foaming at the mouth watching the USAID signage come down?

The only one outraged is you, holy hell.

It's almost comical how they paint anyone who wants a metered approach to be pro wasteful spending.

Again, Musk isn't shutting anything down. He's identifying suspicious payments and Trump is making the decisions
