djp14150 Posted March 3 Posted March 3 17 hours ago, gonzo1105 said: Version 2.0 (After Combine Mock)......I think most Bills fans will be very happy with this version! 1. Tennessee Titans- Abdul Carter DE Penn State - I really still don't know what they are going to do with this pick as I think they will most likely take Carter, draft Ward, or trade out of this pick but right now Carter is the best player in the draft and new general managers tend to play it safe in their first pick with a new team and Carter is about as safe as it comes. He's a dynamic player that will be an instant impact for the Titans next to Jeffrey Simmons. 2. Cleveland Browns- Cam Ward QB Miami - The best Quarterback in the draft goes in the 2nd spot. Yes they still owe a ton of money to Watson but they have to go in a different directions at this point and just bite the bullet. Ward has a lot of really good traits that can make him a good NFL QB and has played for 3 different programs in 3 years showing he is flexible and can adapt to many different systems and coordinators. 3. New York Giants- Travis Hunter CB/WR Colorado - Hunter is right up there with Carter as the best player in the draft and the Giants kill 2 birds with one stone. They need a lockdown corner on defense and they need a dynamic playmaker with Nabers on offense. If they can find the right QB, the Giants would be much improved on offense and Hunter should greatly help them on the defensive side of the ball. 4. New England Patriots- Mason Graham DT Michigan - I think the Patriots would much prefer to get either Carter or Hunter in this position but both are gone. This could be a spot where you could see a trade but with no trades in this mock draft, the Patriots take the Graham who fits Mike Vrabel and the new regime very well. They need to help their offense but Graham is too good to pass up and all offensive players are a reach at this point. 5. Jacksonville Jaguars- Will Campbell OT LSU - The Jaguars could go a couple of different directions here as well. I think Campbell is a reach here but he is a very safe pick for a brand new general manager making his first selection. I am not as high on Campbell as others are but it appears he will most likely be the # 1 OL off the board at this point. This could be another pick that you could see movement on if the early portion of the draft plays out this way. I think they would also consider Will Johnson and Jahdae Barron here. 6. Las Vegas Raiders- Shedeur Sanders QB Colorado - Sanders has been interesting because he has not thrown at all this draft season and there are rumors that he is slipping but I cannot see the Raiders passing up on a QB when they have the chance to grab one after being left out in the cold last year. This can obviously change if they sign a veteran like Sam Darnold but Sanders will still most likely go in the 6-10 range at the worst even with him supposedly dropping. 7. New York Jets- Will Johnson CB Michigan - Another guy who is an interesting case as he hasn't really shown what he can do to this point in the draft and has seen his stock supposedly slip in the last couple of months of the process. With so few impact guys and the Jets having needs pretty much all over the place I still slot Johnson into this spot as he seems like a guy that Aaron Glenn would appreciate having. I know this sounds like a repeat here but Johnson is an incredibly safe pick for a new general manager. 8. Carolina Panthers- Jalon Walker DE/LB Georgia - I wouldn't take Walker here with this selection as he is an incredible tweener in my opinion but the real guys who do this for a living seems to disagree with me and Walker appears destined for the top 15 selections. He does have incredible athleticism and the ability to get to the QB I just worry is he a 3-4 rusher, an off the ball LB, or a guy who can put his hand in the dirt. It remains to be seen but I have questions on him at the next level. 9. New Orleans Saints- Shemar Stewart DE Texas A&M - Someone is going to take Stewart very highly based on his all world potential. Everyone saw what he did at the combine and the potential he has inside himself. The Saints have needs all over the place and need to replace a ton of positions. They decide to take a crack on Stewart at the tail end of the top 10 who has a very high ceiling but also has a floor that could have him floating around the NFL for years. 10. Chicago Bears- Armand Membou OT/OG Missouri - I have consistently had Membou as my # 1 offensive linemen in this draft even before the combine and his combine did nothing to dispel what I see on tape. He is a monster whether on the outside or the inside and the Bears could use help at both the outside and inside making this a no brainer pick for the Bears at the # 10 spot. 11. San Francisco 49ers- James Pearce DE Tennessee - Rumors of a catastrophic drop was in the news before the combine due to Character concerns and maybe those are still a thing and maybe it was something being floated hoping that a bad combine in addition to rumors would lead to a steep fall. After that combine plus his tape there is no way that Pearce is in for a fall in a draft that has very few high end difference makers. The 49ers jump at the opportunity to grab Pearce who on the high end could be a Brian Burns type player and on the low end would be a Leonard Floyd type player. 12. Dallas Cowboys- Ashton Jeanty RB Boise State - I could see Jeanty going higher and I can see Jeanty going lower but I see him as the type of player that Jerry Jones would fall in love with and would give excitement to the Cowboys. Add into the fact that the Cowboys need an impact running back and this pick makes sense as the Cowboys can fill their other needs later in the draft. 13. Miami Dolphins- Nick Emmanwori SAF South Carolina - Everyone's favorite player after the combine goes to the arch rival Dolphins at pick 13. They are losing both of their starting safeties in Poyer and Holland most likely and need to replace them and while Emmanwori has issues, his upside is undeniable being able to do a multitude of things. He also would add a physical presence to the Dolphins that they are sorely lacking. 14. Indianapolis Colts- Jahdae Barron CB Texas - I actually could see Barron going higher than this and could be in contention with Johnson as the # 2 CB off of the board but I feel for the # 2 mock draft, this is a good spot to place him right now as the Colts have big time needs in the secondary and Barron can fill any one of the multitude of positions that the Colts need in their secondary. 15. Atlanta Falcons- Jihaad Campbell LB Alabama - I slot Campbell in here after his fantastic combine and there are rumors that the Falcons are absolutely enamored with him bypassing the Edge Rusher need for the 85th year in a row for another position. They do have a need at LB as well and again Campbell is a testing freak in a draft that lacks high end talent. Combine numbers are pushing up a lot of these guys in comparison because most guys are graded the very closely. 16. Arizona Cardinals- Mike Green DE Marshall - Same as Version 1 for me that Mike Green goes to the Cardinals. I was one of the first people that had Green as a potential top 20 pick and his combine won't slow that speed down. The only thing that could have him drop is the fact that he has some character concerns (sexual assault accusations). He is right up there with the other top edge rushers and has youth on his side to continue to grow as he matures. 17. Cincinnati Bengals- Derrick Harmon DT Oregon - Sorry Bills fans but Harmon after his combine and tape is going to be long off the board before the Bills even get a crack and in this iteration he goes # 17 overall to the Bengals. The Bengals need all kinds of help on the defensive side of the ball and Harmon has been moving up the board even before his strong combine performance. 18. Seattle Seahawks- Tet McMillan WR Arizona - Tet McMillan's fall ends here. I always thought he was an overrated prospect when he was being mocked to the Patriots. He has the size to be a difference maker for sure but he has separation flaws that could have him fall. I see his ceiling as being around where Rome Odunze went at 9 last year and his floor being 19 to the Buccaneers. He is going somewhere in that range in my opinion and with the possibility of Lockett being released and Metcalf being traded McMillan makes sense here. 19. Tampa Bay Buccaneers- Tyler Booker OG Alabama - With the Bucs just missing out on McMillan at 18, the Bucs take the best pure guard in the draft in Tyler Booker who will hopefully start opening up some running lanes for an anemic Bucs offensive line and help protect Baker Mayfield. 20. Denver Broncos- Tyler Warren TE Penn State - This is another prospect, like McMillan, that I think is a very good prospect but has been highly overrated by the draft community. Warren is a good talent and Nix/Payton will get the best out of him in their system but I question Warren's long speed and his stiffness as a runner which might affect him as a pass catcher at the NFL level. 21. Pittsburgh Steelers- Matthew Golden WR Texas - Another combine Bills favorite on the board goes pick # 21 to the Steelers. Golden is a perfect compliment to George Pickens on the other side and whomever the quarterback will be for the Steelers next year. I am very high on Golden as a true Z receiver in the NFL. 22. Los Angeles Chargers- Omarion Hampton RB UNC - I have always been high on Hampton and his combine with his 4.47 at his size will make him a lock for the first round. The Chargers, with Harbaugh wanting a balanced offense would love to get his hands on a power back like Hampton and he gets his chance here as they continue to try to reconstruct their offense around Justin Herbert. 23. Green Bay Packers- Luther Burden WR Missouri - This pick is an interesting one since the Packers have a good amount of depth at the position already but really have no difference makers. In addition they have Jayden Reed in the slot and like to use two TE's at time but the upside of Burden and the possibility he turns into the dynamic WR that they have been lacking allows the Packers to make this selection. 24. Minnesota Vikings- Malaki Starks S Georgia - Starks lack of size and straight line speed is made up for with a great deal of football saavy and smarts and the Vikings and Brian Flores would love to get their hands on a player like Starks who can do multiple things that Flores likes to do in his defense. 25. Houston Texans- Kelvin Banks OT Texas - I have never been high as high on Banks as others and his fall stops here with the Texans who keep him "home". The Texans need to fix their offensive line and Banks can play RT and eventually take over for Tunsil or move inside to Guard in the meantime. 26. Los Angeles Rams- Emeka Egbuka WR Ohio State - The Rams take Egbuka here as a value play. The are going to go into the season without Cooper Kupp either via trade or release and Tutu Atwell is a free agent leaving the Rams thinner in their WR corps with Stafford in a win now situation. Egbuka helps remedy that situation immediately. 27. Baltimore Ravens- Nic Scourton DE Texas A&M - This is just one of those typical Ravens picks. Let a guy keep sliding down the board and then take the BPA and in that case that is Scourton who will make his way to the Ravens much slimmer than he was at A@M last year. 28. Detroit Lions- Mykel Williams DE Georgia - The Lions need defensive line help after being ravaged with injuries last year and couldn't stop anyone after all of them hit. Williams is a good base end who has the potential to be a plus pass rusher but right now he needs to develop that aspect of his game. 29. Washington Commanders- Josh Simmons OT Ohio State - I personally have Simmons as my # 1 true Tackle in this draft but I can't deny that him not being able to show his recovery from knee surgery will hurt him. The Commanders still need to give Daniels as much help as they can and will do that adding Simmons with Deebo Samuel who they just traded for. 30. Buffalo Bills- Kenneth Grant DT Michigan - Well well boys and gals, the Bills swipe up Kenneth Grant at the 30th choice fitting everything that Buffalo could possibly want from a 1 Tech. Grant is incredibly athletic for a man his size but he does have negatives. For being close to 340 pounds, I would like to see him be more physical at times. Sometimes he plays too finesse for a man his size but at the same time you don't get a guy that size who can get after the passer while also being able to clog running lanes. I think that inconsistency plus the fact that he has yet to work out in any capacity makes me think he is in for a little bit of a drop. Will he actually make it to 30 and will the Bills actually have this pick come draft time. Remains to be seen but I think its more of a possibility than it was a month or two ago. 31. Kansas City Chiefs- Colston Loveland TE Michigan - I just think the value here is too good to pass up for the Chiefs as Loveland is the clear # 2 TE and with Travis Kelce likely in his last year playing, the Chiefs snap up Loveland to be his eventually replacement. 32. Philadelphia Eagles- Walter Nolan DT Mississippi - Nolan is another guy who has a lot of potential and upside but also has multiple concerns. First he has character concerns, how serious who knows, he is undersized for a defensive tackle at 293 pounds and has yet to show what he can do in the pre draft process. His tape also left a lot to be desired at Texas A@M before greatly improving at Miss. The Eagles don't care about character and they have the players to give Nolan the time needed to adjust to the NFL. 2nd Round: 33. Cleveland Browns- Donovan Ezeiruaku DE Boston College 34. New York Giants- Jaxson Dart QB Mississippi 35. Tennessee Titans- Jonah Savaiianea OG Arizona 36. Jacksonville Jaguars- AZ Thomas CB Florida State 37. Las Vegas Raiders- Trey Amos CB Mississippi 38. New England Patriots- Josh Conerly OT Oregon 39. Chicago Bears- Landon Jackson DE Arkansas 40. New Orleans Saints- Malik Hairston CB Kentucky 41. Chicago Bears- Darius Alexander DT Toledo 42. New York Jets- Grey Zabel OT North Dakota State 43. San Francisco 49ers- Cameron Williams OT Texas 44. Dallas Cowboys- Jayden Higgins WR Iowa State 45. Indianapolis Colts- Mason Taylor TE LSU 46. Atlanta Falcons- Benjamin Morrison CB Notre Dame 47. Arizona Cardinals- Donovan Jackson OG Ohio State 48. Miami Dolphins- Tyleik Williams DT Ohio State 49. Cincinnati Bengals- Xavier Watts S Notre Dame 50. Seattle Seahawks- Demetrius Knight LB South Carolina 51. Denver Broncos- Treveyon Henderson RB Ohio State 52. Pittsburgh Steelers- T.J. Sanders DT South Carolina 53. Tampa Bay Buccaneers- Carson Schwesinger LB UCLA 54. Green Bay Packers- Darian Porter CB Iowa State 55. Los Angeles Chargers- Elic Ayomanor WR Stanford 56. Buffalo Bills- Shavon Revel CB East Carolina - Revel goes from being a possible late first round pick to falling all the way down to # 56. This happened for a multitude of reasons. He has some concerns on tape but mostly because he is coming off a torn ACL and even though he is expected to be ready for training camp, he might not be at 100% strength for the season. Couple that with the fact that Hairston, Amos, Porter, and Thomas, had fantastic pre combine all star games and combines and you can see Revel dropping further and further. The upside is enormous and the Bills have a huge need but could also afford to wait on him a little bit if necessary. 57. Carolina Panthers- Andrew Mukuba S Texas 58. Houston Texans- Tre Harris WR Mississippi 59. Baltimore Ravens- Airontae Ersery OT Minnesota 60. Detroit Lions- Marcus Mbow OG Purdue 61. Washington Commanders- Alfred Collins DT Texas 62. Buffalo Bills- Bradyn Swinson DE LSU - Swinson is flying up the boards. He has prototypical size at 6'4 255 pounds with almost 34 inch arms. He also had a monster final season at LSU and parlayed that into an excellent combine where he showed top end change of directions skills in the hoop drill, and agility testing that was only behind Donovan Ezeiruaku. The reason why he goes so late is he is a late bloomer. He only had one year of college with good production and will have to prove that his final season in LSU is not a mirage. He, in my opinion, is still an ascending player as he can still fill out his body even more and be the true pass rusher the Bills have lacked. 63. Kansas City Chiefs- Kaleb Johnson RB Iowa 64. Philadelphia Eagles- Jordan Burch DE Oregon I think Dart goes around 16-20 Quote

Richard Noggin Posted March 4 Posted March 4 13 hours ago, Mat68 said: I appreciate the work and effort. All realistic options. I would be pissed Buffalo didn’t take a 1T. Yes, a true 2 down 1T can be had in the middle rounds. I would like someone with a bit more juice in that position. With the lack of production, excluding the year and a half of very good play from Daquan Jones, I would want a bigger investment. Especially with the lack of size at LB and 3 tech. Buffalo needs an ass kicker at 1 tech. We all see a talent void at NT, but we have to ask ourselves if that has anything to do with why the Bills defense has fallen short in the playoffs for six years and counting under McDermott? Each regular season, the Bills have a 2-game swoon wherein they get absolutely mauled physically, featuring especially failures in run defense. However, each postseason, the Bills lose in the playoffs to the Chiefs (or Bengals or Texans) primarily because they cannot pressure the QB. Sure, the LOS in general is an issue, but a lack of pass rush pressure is the most glaring failure, repeatedly. (Entirely possible that super passive and predictable coverage schemes/off-alignments exacerbates this problem btw.) 6 hours ago, HappyDays said: I agree which is why I'm hoping he gets drafted sooner. Philadelphia Eagles- Jordan Burch DE Oregon Thanks for the effort you put into this OP. I would be happy if the draft went this way. (need to learn more about Swinson, but I like what I've heard so far.) Quote
Mat68 Posted March 4 Posted March 4 11 hours ago, Richard Noggin said: We all see a talent void at NT, but we have to ask ourselves if that has anything to do with why the Bills defense has fallen short in the playoffs for six years and counting under McDermott? Each regular season, the Bills have a 2-game swoon wherein they get absolutely mauled physically, featuring especially failures in run defense. However, each postseason, the Bills lose in the playoffs to the Chiefs (or Bengals or Texans) primarily because they cannot pressure the QB. Sure, the LOS in general is an issue, but a lack of pass rush pressure is the most glaring failure, repeatedly. (Entirely possible that super passive and predictable coverage schemes/off-alignments exacerbates this problem btw.) Kind of agree, even though I draft Clark almost EVERY dang time he's available at 30 in my dumb little mocks. Im envisioning someone who can over power below average lineman. The LG for KC was a liability. Buffalo couldn't take advantage 1 on 1. I think Harmon or Grant make a difference there. Against Baltimore they were barely holding on against the run. They need help at edge too. 2 of the top 3 picks should be edge and 1T. Getting a 3 tech in Burch was my gripe. 1 Quote
gonzo1105 Posted March 4 Author Posted March 4 23 hours ago, SoCal Deek said: Nolan, Collins, Porter, Burch….off the top of my head. You have all of those guys being selected right around the Bills selections in the same rounds. I’m guessing there’s a good reason why in each case. (And I’m literally praying we don’t end up with 1,000 page threads next year about why Beane shoulda, woulda, coulda 😂) Well most of it is need for each team but I did have Jordan Burch at 62 in my version 1 mock and do feel he is in play for the Bills selection there. I think based on what Beane has said is they want to be bigger and more physical on the defensive line and Burch at 279 pounds + would fit that Bill. Beane has also said he was looking for speed the last couple of years and he didn't. The reason I chose Swinson over Burch is that Swinson I believe will provide more pass rushing upside while Burch will provide better run defense at this stage but both players can develop. I think Swinson absolutely aced his agility testing which confirmed his ability to bend which showed nicely on tape as well. Burch and Swinson are kind of the same guy. Guys who underachieved until their last season. The Porter pick fits a need for GB and his testing numbers at the combine combined with his physical attributes make him an intriguing prospect but once again he is a one year wonder as well so whoever takes a shot on Porter is taking a chance. I think the Bills would consider him at 56 if he were there but I don't believe they would be willing to trade up for him as a prospect with another CB(Revel) similar in physical attributes and has more game tape. If it wasn't for Revel's knee he wouldn't even have the possibility of going to 56 and still might not. Alfred Collins is another guy who could go much earlier than where he was taken at 61 and if he were available at 56 and the Bills didn't get Kenneth Grant in the first round would be highly under consideration but taking two 1T DT's back to back in the first and 2nd round isn't very good asset allocation. I'm also not as high on Collins as others are. I think he's a good prospect but I don't see a dominant player on tape and I think his combine was fair but not spectacular As for Nolan I have kind of explained this already a bit. First he's not what the Bills are looking for if they are truly trying to get bigger. He's 293 pounds and put together one good year of tape plus he has character concerns which the Bills always take into consideration. He would probably go onto Philly and be a dominant player haha but its not how the Bills role. If Grant was off the board, do I think the Bills would consider Nolan, Yea I do but I don't think it would be a lock they would take him regardless. 1 Quote

gonzo1105 Posted 14 hours ago Author Posted 14 hours ago Gonzo V3. Final Mock Draft This draft is going to be absolutely insane and I fully expect to be way off this year even worse than most years lol. I decided only to do one round for the final version because doing more than 1 round would be insane again. With that said me thinking this makes me think I'm going to do better than I think. Enjoy and make sure to check out @GunnerBill and I's podcast special which will now most certainly be wrong haha. 1. Tennessee Titans- Cam Ward QB University of Miami - Not even really going to explain this because its a lock and this will be the first pick in the draft 2. Cleveland Browns- Travis Hunter WR/DB University of Colorado - The Browns are supposedly fielding calls on this pick now. If they decide to stay put I fully expect Hunter to be the pick and I think the most intrigue for this pick will be at which position he will be announced or will he be announced as an athlete. 3. New York Giants- Abdul Carter DE Penn State University - Another last minute teams taking calls and it makes sense if they think they can get a haul, move down and get the QB that they desire later in the first round. If they stick here I again fully expect this to be Carter who is arguably the best player in this draft. Where does this leave Kayvon Thibodeaux will be the question and will he be traded on draft weekend. 4. New England Patriots- Will Campbell OT Louisiana State University - This one also seems like a lock to happen if the Patriots stick with the pick. I'm not sure he will be an elite franchise left tackle but he is a safe floor prospect that can play multiple positions on the offensive line which the Patriots need all over the place. He makes sense here as a Tackle or Guard for the Patriots to start surrounding Maye with players on offense. 5. Jacksonville Jaguars- Ashton Jeanty RB Boise State University - I was the first to call the possibility of Jeanty to go before the Raiders pick at 6 and I'm seeing this crop up more and more as we get closer to the draft. It makes sense for the Jags with an offensive coach trying to reinvigorate Trevor Lawrence's career. Etienne is in his last year of his deal and Bigsby hasn't developed like they hoped so they need to get a dynamic back into the draft. If not Jeanty I expect Kelvin Banks as a possibility. 6. Las Vegas Raiders- Armand Membou OT University of Missouri - It seems that if Jeanty is off the board this pick will come down to Mason Graham or Armand Membou. In this final iteration I go with Membou who, like Campbell, can play multiple positions along a Raider offensive line that needs massive help. I am a big fan of Membou and have him rated as my # 1 overall tackle in this draft(Campbell I have rated as a G). 7. New York Jets- Tyler Warren TE Penn State University - I think the Jets will consider both Membou and Tyler Warren at this selection and with Membou off the board to the Raiders, that makes the Jets choice of Warren an easy one. I am not as high on Warren as others but he has been consistently mocked in the top 10 of the draft and will add a weapon for new QB Justin Fields to replace the departing Davante Adams 8. Carolina Panthers- Jalon Walker DE/LB University of Georgia - I think this is a lock barring something very unforeseen. I have always had hesitation about Walker just because he is such a tweener. Don't get me wrong he is a hell of a football player I just worry about guys who may not have a true position in the NFL. Still the Panthers seem to love him and I have heard that he has been excellent in interview with other teams and will love his leadership qualities. 9. New Orleans Saints- Mason Graham DT University of Michigan - I don't think that Graham is the dominant top 5 pick that everyone has believed he was but he is a very good football player and the Saints have needs all over the place and Graham is arguably the best players on the board at this point. Will the Saints go QB? Seems like they are leaning away from it at this point but they literally can go anywhere with this pick but I'll slot Graham in here. 10. Chicago Bears- Josh Conerly OT University of Oregon - Yup this is my first big shocker of the draft. The Bears have put in extensive work on Conerly and apparently love him not only as a prospect but also as a person. Conerly does have very big upside as a Left Tackle and the Bears did sort of do something like this when they took Darnell Wright at # 10 a couple of years ago. I also think they are highly interested in Colston Loveland as well at this pick. 11. San Francisco 49ers- Walter Nolan DT University of Mississippi - Doing a lot of looking around on 49ers message boards and sleuthing it appears that the 49ers are going to wait until a later round to find an eventual replacement for Trent Williams. It appears that at least in their minds that this pick is going to come down to either Walter Nolan or Mykel Williams. Combine that with the rumors that Nolan is supposedly going to go much higher than people expect and I put two and two together and slot Nolan to the 9ers 12. Dallas Cowboys- Tet McMillan WR University of Arizona - I keep hemming and hawing about this pick as well between McMillian and Golden as I believe that Golden is the better prospect and there is a chance that he is the pick here at 12. I could see the Cowboys also taking Omarrion Hampton as well. As you can see its like shooting darts at the board at this point. I think McMillian makes sense here as a compliment to Ceedee Lamb. 13. Miami Dolphins- Kelvin Banks OT University of Texas - If Banks goes to the Bears, I think the Dolphins would consider Conerly at this pick as well. They need help all over their offensive line and Banks can slot right into the left tackle spot that was vacated by the retiring Terron Armstead. Its about time for the Dolphins to try getting more physical because their roster has surprisingly taken a turn into the not very good territory very quickly. 14. Indianapolis Colts- Colston Loveland TE University of Michigan - I think that this is Colston's floor and his ceiling is # 10 to the Bears. Loveland provides a weapon for whoever is playing Quarterback in Indianapolis. Its seems like the stock offseason pick but it makes a ton of sense for the Colts to make this selection. 15. Atlanta Falcons- Mykel Williams DE University of Georgia - This is one pick I will not waiver on as the Falcons need a pass rusher in the worst way and Williams, a local college prospect, makes a lot of sense as a long term solution to the pass rush woahs of the Falcons. If Williams goes to the 49ers at 11 it wouldn't surprise me if a Walter Nolan type prospect comes off the board here at 15. 16. Arizona Cardinals- Shemar Stewart DE Texas A&M University - Stewart is a boom or bust prospect if there ever was one but the Cardinals can still bolster their pass rush even after adding Josh Sweat to the roster. Stewart, despite his lack of sack production has elite traits and had a very high pressure rate while in college. I expect him to put up better sack numbers in the pros but that probably isn't saying much. 17. Cincinnati Bengals- Nick Emmanwori S University of South Carolina - The Bengals can go in a lot of different directions in this draft especially on defense and there are a lot of tantalizing options for them at this point. After digging around I decided to slot in Emmanwori here at the Bengals pick which the Bengals have met with a couple of different times and he has enormous superstar potential if he can develop his football skills to go with his elite athleticism 18. Seattle Seahawks- Grey Zabel OT/OG North Dakota State University - The Seahawks for damn near a decade have needed to fix their interior offensive line and they will try again with the selection of Zabel. I've seen Zabel getting buzz for the first round for awhile and have slotted him at 28 to the Lions but it appears he is going to much earlier than expect. He could go as high as 13 to the Dolphins in my opinion. 19. Tampa Bay Buccaneers- Maxwell Hairston CB University of Kentucky - Another mild shocker as Hairston, not Barron or Will Johnson is the first Cornerback to come off the board in the draft. The Bucs need secondary help desperately and they have met with numerous cornerbacks in this draft but none of them they have met more than Hairston. Another guy with elite athleticism that can become an elite player down the line for the secondary needy Bucs. 20. Denver Broncos- Matthew Golden WR University of Texas - The Broncos are going playmaker in this spot the question is what position of playmaker. Will they go WR, RB, or TE at this spot. With the depth of Running back and quite possibly the # 1 WR in this draft staring them in the face they have no choice but to take Golden here to pair up with Courtland Sutton and to give Bo Nix more weapons at his disposal. 21. Pittsburgh Steelers- Shedeur Sanders QB University of Colorado - The Sanders fall stops here as this is kind of a match made in heaven. Sanders goes to the very needy Pittsburgh Steelers and Tomlin is probably one of the few coaches in the league that will either work with or tell Deion Sanders to shut the hell up. Sanders is about as NFL ready but will need to have some elite players around him. Wide Receivers look good for now but how long will George Pickens be in a Steeler uniform. 22. Los Angeles Chargers- Kenneth Grant DT University of Michigan - The connections between Grant and Jim Harbaugh run very deep and the Nose Tackle spot is a very big need for the Chargers. Grant has some elite traits but he is very inconsistent at this stage and will need to be further developed to become the player everyone thinks he can be. Sorry Bills fans but Grant is off the board. 23. Green Bay Packers- Jahdae Barron CB University of Texas - Another guy sliding down the board is Barron who I believe can be a very good outside CB or he can be a very good swiss army knife for an secondary in this draft. With there already being one hole at CB to fill, and the never ending possibility of Jaire Alexander not being in a Packers uniform, the Packers tab Barron at this selection to fill a big need for the Packers 24. Minnesota Vikings- Malaki Starks S University of Georgia - Much like everybody else, I expect this to be a trade down spot for a lot of teams, especially the ones needing a Quarterback at the top of the 2nd round. With no trades, I stick with the consensus that Starks would be a good eventual replacement for Harrison Smith and would see a lot of subpackage work in his rookie year under Brian Flores. 25. Houston Texans- Tyler Booker OG University of Alabama - The Texans are another team that needs help all over their offensive line and they are apparently looking for someone to be a leaders on that offensive front. Enter Tyler Booker who apparently has impressed very well in those areas of his interview process and the Texans have an extreme need at Guard. I worry about his athletic profile but he also strikes me as the type of player a Demeco Ryans would love. 26. Los Angeles Rams- Emeka Egbuka WR Ohio State University - The Rams could either go with Egbuka or Will Johnson here but I think Sean McVay would love the type of player that Egbuka is and would be drooling to get him in a Rams uniform to pair with Puka Nacua. Egbuka is about as smooth an operator at the position that you will see but is probably never going to be a high end # 1 WR in the NFL but he will be a damn good # 2 for a long time. 27. Baltimore Ravens- Will Johnson CB University of Michigan - Well well well, Will Johnson comes off the board at 27 to the Ravens and once again the Ravens will look like geniuses on draft day for taking a guy who looked like he was going to go in the top 10 for the longest time. Johnson fills a very large need for the Ravens as well as they struggled to fill the spot last year opposite of Marlon Humphrey. 28. Detroit Lions- Donovan Ezeiruaku DE Boston College - I think Ezeiruaku is a Dan Campbell type of player and is a very good safe pass rushing prospect in this first round of the draft. He may never be a true dominant defensive end but he will rack up plenty of sacks playing opposite of Aiden Hutchinson. I could also see the Lions taking Donovan Jackson at this spot if they aren't in love with a pass rusher. 29. Washington Commanders- Omarrion Hampton RB University of North Carolina - I think its very possible that Hampton can go much much higher than this and I do have him as a first round grade on my board. The Commanders on the surface have bigger needs but they have spent all offseason adding weapons to the offense around Jayden Daniels and Hampton provides good value here at a position that the Commanders have been scouting pretty heavily. 30. Buffalo Bills- Trey Amos CB University of Mississippi - The Bills tab Amos as their pick at # 30. Look, I know its not the most exciting pick for this board but he is a perfect fit for a Sean McDermott style of defense. After seeing Tre White's contract numbers, and the addition of Dane Jackson on pretty much a minimum deal, the Bills grab their # 2 CB at the end of the first round. I have constantly said that you have to take a CB in round 1 or you risk missing out on a good one completely. 31. Kansas City Chiefs- Treveyon Henderson RB Ohio State University - A lot of people have been going with Josh Simmons here and I think that its a strong possibility as well but the Chiefs have been meeting with Henderson quite a bit and it seems that Isaiah Pacheco is either still injured or is falling out of favor in Kansas City. Combine that with the fact that re-signed Kareem Hunt and it shows that they are looking for a little something more out of this position and Henderson is a future 3 down back. 32. Philadelphia Eagles- James Pearce Jr. DE University of Tennessee - The Eagles could go in whatever direction they feel and they have taken a lot of character concern players if they feel they are elite and Pearce has a chance to be as elite as anyone in this draft class. I personally have him in my top 10 and would love the Bills to select him but he's probably not up the Bills character alley. The Eagles swoop in and take another guy who falls because of character issues. * Notes* I have Jihaad Campbell and Derrick Harmon falling out of round 1 due to injury I fully expect if the draft plays out this way for one of the Giants/Browns to jump into the first round to target Jaxson Dart After the first round is complete, I will probably complete a round 2 mock draft with maybe a round 3 if I have enough time on Friday before day 2 kicks off. 3 3 2 Quote

These are always a lot of work so good job. I agree with most of the picks in the top 10 aside from Warren. I think a new coach that watched Sewell and Hutchinson being drafted early in Detroit will try and mirror that with either Banks, Graham or a DE du jour. I don’t know which Edge guys will go 15&16 but I can’t see those being other positions. Im of the mindset that Hairston’s floor is going to be GB if all his medicals are clear. And him being the first CB off the board isn’t ludicrous. WJ not testing sounds like it has soured some teams and Barron will be more the eye of the beholder on if he can play outside. I think Amos does make the most logical sense for the Bills in these mocks. A first round CB is basically guaranteed to be a starter and Amos is very good and has a clean medical history. His age isn’t normally what Beane looks for in an early pick is the only thing giving me pause from making this a lock if he is there at 30. I can’t get AZ Thomas out of my brain for the Bills, hopefully with a small trade down. We shall see. 1 Quote
GunnerBill Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago Good job @gonzo1105. I am in the gym with my list in front of me still swapping guys about.... but I think first half of the round is pretty similar to what I have them more differences second half (but largely the same names just different order). 1 Quote

The amount of times that I have thought I was good and then deleted it is astronomical . I was going to do two rounds and then said to myself what are you doing trying to figure out the first round this year is hard enough. I just did this last night , went with my gut and posted it. I’m really looking forward to this draft for the surprise aspect. Quote

Is gym another word for pub over there? 1 Quote
EmotionallyUnstable Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago Thanks @gonzo1105 for all the work you’ve put in over the past few months and sharing your insights here. I’ve enjoyed reading these. Im a trenches guy. So seeing Harmon fall past 30 and taking Amos would frustrate me unless the medical are legit. I could live with CB at 30 and think it’s a likely scenario. My top 3 options overall here would be Harmon Scourton Amos/Revel 1 Quote
