Should the three peat happen on Sunday, I think he will have one more year at least.

If the Eagles do pull off the required miracle, can his ego tolerate not being the defending champion going into next year?!

I assume that their relationship also commercially benefits Swift too, this must be her longest relationship to date.

Close, it's the second longest.  Most can be measured in months, not years.

Yes, I looked it up.

You heard it here first lol.

I’ve heard that from non football Swifties as well. I hope it happens so that we can end this whole KC era.

Just get it over with.

Right now the Taylor factor is to big for the NFL to not want KC to make it to the super bowl.  There is to much money to be had with her bringing in fans that would never watch the super bowl.

Let's hope this guy decides it's time to call it a career.

If not, next season will just be the same *****.

Yikes.

The Bills score the biggest ratings in almost every big game they are in.  The NFL knows that the Bills in the Super Bowl may mean the best ratings ever.

And if the Bills were playing a team like the Lions, who also have never won a Super Bowl, then it is even more likely that would happen.

So you would think as they planned out something as elaborate as what is proposed,  that someone would have pointed out to Goodell or or another leader how corrupt it would be, how illegal.  The biggest scandal in the history of sports.  And the dumbest.

If you are going through all that trouble to basically fix games, wouldn't you want to pick the best match up?

A  crazy conspiracy theory no one should  believe.

So, a troll or joke?

And if the Bills were playing a team like the Lions, who also have never won a Super Bowl, then it is almost a guarantee that would happen.

So, you would think as they plotted and planned the elaborate conspiracy theory presented in the OP, with the dozens people that would need to have been involved, that someone would have pointed out that to Goodell in one of the planning meetings. Right?

A batshi* crazy conspiracy theory that  NO sentient adult would ever believe.

So, a troll or joke?

Sadly, i suspect he was serious.

Look, there needs to be a better reason than “our football team is five plays worse than Kansas City” this year. We all saw the Refs miss-spot footballs on at least three occasions in this game. The last one was reviewed in New York.  Yet, here we sit, while the chiefs nation celebrates. It appears even God is a Chiefs fan for he has smote NO ONE in the league office for this blasphemy. As humans and Bills fans we are asked to accept that maybe 15 plays in the last five years separate us from two or three super bowls. This is causing madness, disbelief, a rejection of all sacred tenets once accepted as fact. Football is real, Aliens are fake, you need a number one receiver. Sure all you point out is true. YET, the nfl’s retort to the waves of criticism generated by the clear failure of those referees is “ we will continue to have our referees miss-spot the ball next season. “ WHAAAAAT? Caught between Sean McDermott and Roger Goodell,  the grand pincers of despair; are we left but to weep for the failures to come?

You're underestimating the power of hate watching and how many Swifties their are.  They're the new Cowboys.  TV Ratings will be through the roof.

Hmm...

Okay,  can you state what you believe is actually happening, specifically, and how it is being done?.

When you read things like the OP here it is hard to imagine how that can be legitimate.

The biggest scandal is sports history is still the 1919 Black Sox scandal when 8 Sox players conspired with gamblers to lose the World Series.  What you and the OP clearly imply, state, would blow the roof off of the NFL and the US sports industry in general if confirmed.  Like I said, it would be the biggest sports scandal, act of sports corruption in US history, making the Black Sox scandal pale in comparison. Billions of dollars would be involved with huge class action lawsuits against the NFL.

So, what and how do you think has actually taken place behind the scenes for what you say above, supporting the OP?  What do you mean "the power of hate watching"? I have no idea whatsoever what that means-?

Woah.  I'm not agreeing with the OP.  The NFL conspiring to rig the game for the Chiefs to make the Super Bowl is one of the dumbest things I've ever heard.  The Chiefs have become the new Patriots (or Cowboys of the 90's) in that many people will watch because they want them to fail.  That's all I meant.

Betting the ML on the Chiefs for the majority of the season would've allowed you to net like 25% of your initial wager. You're not exactly getting even odds there.

The argument, I guess, lies in what the definition of "rigged" is.

Officials can be told to favor one team, and another team's performance can still overcome that. The outcome isn't predetermined like in pro wrestling.

Okay, an extremely bold statement above, so now in bold-see above.

Since you say that, how do you see this all coming together?  Who would tell the officials to "favor one team"? Who would have told someone to tell the officials to do this? In order for this conspiracy theory to have legs, one would have to have some basic answers on those parts. I am assuming you and others supporting this have your ideas, so please share with us.  Thanks.

With his 64 million per year salary, and who know how much more he gets under the table?

I thought that I was being original. I suppose that I should have known better. :(

What makes you think Goodell gets 'much more' than 64 million under the table? And why would it be 'under the table'?

With the kind of money you are suggesting it would be extremely illegal for both the NFL and Goodell.

It would mean Goodell  likely spends the rest of his life in prison when this all comes out in public, which is bound to happen soon, with the extensive number of people that would need to be involved.

Everyone keeps saying Kelce is going to propose to Taylor Swift at the Super Bowl. Personally, I just don't see it.

Taylor has made a career on writing breakup songs. I'm honestly shocked they made it this long and part of me believes it's more publicity than anything else. I don't see her marrying and I definitely don't see her as the type that would want to be proposed to on a Football field.

I find it more likely that she's already started writing her Travis Kelce breakup album and is waiting on him to screw up or the right time for her to end it.

It seems above you are implying that is, at least in part, why she maintains the relationship with Kelce, as you connect the two ideas.

But why would what many would say is the biggest star in the music world before dating Kelce care about the 'commercial benefits' of dating him as you indicate?

Wouldn't this billionaire care less about the commercial benefits you point to and instead want a relationship based on other, more personal and legitimate qualities?

This topic is talking about whether he will retire, potentially after the Super Bowl.

In various other threads multiple posters are saying the NFL's traditional market is saturated and one way to expand it is via the the biggest musical star in the galaxy and her relationship with an eventual HOF Tight End.

Maybe her market needs diversification too?

Her "relationship" with Tom Hiddlestone was speculated on by many sources, even Business Insider had an article on it.

Any publicity is good publicility applies here. NFL/KC/Kelce/Swift gets extra exposure and everyone seems to want it.

The American male football fan market is completely saturated. The only way to grow the sport is to concentrate on global efforts (i.e. playing games overseas) and making the game more popular with women (i.e. Tay Tay on the TV).

It's not the most unfounded conspiracy theory.

It’s not even a “conspiracy”. It’s their business. It’s what they are doing. And they don’t include you or me or our feelings in their decisions.
