This.  And I’m the meantime, Canada and Mexico string trump along while looking for different partners.  They’re buying time,  and we accomplish nothing other than aggravating allies and partners.

What new partners are Canada and Mexico going to engage to offload goods and products previously destined for the US market? Some might say mercantilism based economy China but they're not exactly friendly to imports without conditions. And Canada diverting crude oil exports from the U.S. to perhaps Asia? You need pipeline capacity to get the oil to ports on the west coast and shipping capacity to take it across the Pacific. All this takes time, effort, and money. The obvious path is to some reconciliation that will be reached in maybe a week or two. In the meantime there's nothing I can do other than watch the markets panic and nibble at some good companies at better prices that will rebound once the dust settles here.

Infrastructure is an issue re oil, yes.  But I’d start planning for that if I was them.  And,  in the meantime, they’ll source new suppliers and take their cash elsewhere.  Cotton can be bought in Brazil.  Booze can come from somewhere other than Kentucky.  Cars can be bought elsewhere, etc.  And our taxing of  petroleum imports only makes stuff more expensive for us.  It’s a mess.

Trump is proving to be a reckless moron, and I hope the world is taking notice. Who would have thought Trump’s tariffs and constant goalpost moving would be bad for the US economy, except everyone with a brain?

No serious economist or politician believes these tariffs are a good thing for the economy. The tariffs are all an exercise to feed the ego of an insecure idiot. He is a six year old screaming tariffs for attention as the rest of America tries to figure out how to manage in the midst of the chaos.

It's only down 5.5% in a month.  MAGA calls that winning I think.

I understand that MAGA are not the brightest group, so I’ll help them out.

Trump has consistently said, and used the fentanyl issue as a “national emergency” trigger to justify the tariffs. He’s a liar, and not much smarter than Biden. Tariffs are Trump’s brilliant idea to force manufacturers to move to the US, upsetting the interwoven North American supply chain. Trump is so ***** stupid, he thought just invoking the tariffs would be enough, not understanding how much effort is required to undo decades of work, so he didn’t properly notify manufacturers or his former allies.

And in announcing another embarrassing pause on some tariffs, his senile ass let his true intentions slip…

“I told them, ‘That’s it,’” he said, recalling a conversation he had with three of the largest automakers.

During that call, he purportedly told them, “I don’t want to hear from you after April 2,” adding that would be a “very big day for America.”

There is nothing Canada or Mexico can do about the border, as if the northern border was ever an issue. Trump isn’t negotiating, he’s just buying time because his plan is awful and not thought out well. The US is big enough that protectionism may well work, but this display of incompetence is truly hilarious.

So you’re welcome, MAGA, at least now you’re in the know and can stop embarrassing yourselves like your dear leader has done. That’s the game…pay for massive tax cuts for the wealthy by ***** over your allies.

You have to be able to think critically to understand…best that most of you sit this out until Trump stops the fentanyl charade, you’ve already shown how simple you are and it’s getting embarrassing…even for you guys/bots.
