So when the defensive and offensive coordinators get outdone we should blame our best player because he didn’t rescue them? Hell no. When OC doesn’t have of second most dynamic offensive player on the the field for the most important drive of the game we blame the mvp for not doing a mid air 180 with three guys bearing down on him to hit the open route? Hell no. Joe Brady failed our QB with his simple ass game plan. It blows my mind how these guys have 500 plays on a card and we see the same seven plays (kc sees them coming) Did Josh have a monster game, no. But where were the planned QB runs? The first drive could have been a td drive with Scripted qb runs rather than those pass plays . Call an another snow plow  Joe!

The protection was not set properly and Allen had 4 guys in his face immediately.  The play was dead from the start.  Low probability throw, instead of letting the play develop.

That is NOT a critical error by a QB. Critical errors resulting from what you describe as Allen's shortcomings on that play would have been:

*  Taking a sack

*  Throwing an INT

*  Throwing to a receiver well behind the line to gain.

*  Throwing a pass that was not catchable.

Instead Allen threw a very catchable pass beyond the line to gain.  Calling that a "critical Allen mistake" is ridiculous on its face.

Josh was awful that first drive, devastatingly awful, and not real good in the next few drives either. That was the problem for him. But then in the second half he was insane, excepting the tush pushes. And there's a lot of shared blame there.

Allen was bad on his first drive.  On his second drive he was solid leading the Bills to a FG.  He was outstanding on that last drive before of the half to make it a one score game.

But in no reasonable way could you call Allen's first drive "devastatingly awful".  That is pure hyperbole.  Nothing devastating happened on that first drive.  You know like a pick 6 or lost fumble in the Bills Red Zone.  The O went three and out and then punted the Chiefs to their own 10 yard line. Hardly a devastating outcome.
